Itinerary
Stretch your legs and recharge with a coffee break in Koonwarra, a regional town in Gippsland. This a break to buy some coffee/breakfast (own expenses)
Drive through regional towns of Gippsland on the way to Wilsons Promontory
Take in the scenic views from one of the many scenic lookouts at Wilsons Promontory National Park
Arrive at Tidal River and take a short stroll to Norman Beach
Self-Hike pax to either Mt Oberon, Mt Bishop, or Lilly Pilly Gully Mt Oberon or Mt Bishop Walk – allow 2-2.5 Hours. (Elevated Walk) Lilly Pilly Gully Walk – allow 1.5 Hours (Flat walk) – Mt Bishop same track.
Lunch stop at Tidal River, enjoy lunch (At your own expense) Take a break amidst the scenic beauty of this idyllic location.
Unwind at Squeaky Beach, the hidden gem voted Australia’s best beach in 2024, where the sand squeaks beneath your feet
Keep your eyes peeled for native wildlife like emus, kangaroos, and wombats on a short wildlife walk at the Old Prom Airfield.

Absolutely loved it! It was a wet day but still had lots of fun. Saw cutie little wombats eating grass and moving towards you was absolutely the highlight of the day. The company is called Explore Australia, very reliable, and we had Darren who is a very friendly and professional tour guide :)

This is a must! I highly recommend this. Our tour guide Stuart was great. He made sure we captured everything on this journey. Seeing all the wildlife in their natural habitat, stunning beaches and amazing views of the National Park. I loved every minute of it.

A hassle free way to visit The Prom. Great driver and friendly travellers. Nice lunch stop along the way. The only downside was taking a full 13 hours round trip - longer than expected, so allow time for any connections.

Not a particularly interesting experience. Guide was entertaining, and friendly. Walking was at your own pace. Which was good. Not suitable for older people with disabilities. It was a holiday so lots of crowds and worst part was all the Americans. Go during a weekday if you can.

This is one of the few tour options to go to Wilson's Promontory. I wouldn't call it a must-do, but it is a nice escape from Melbourne if you have a lot of time in the city. The views are nice and the trip was well organized.
