Passionate, creative, and dedicated to achieving excellence in winemaking, Joe Dobbes established himself as a leading figure in the industry. Founding Dobbes Family Estate and Wine By Joe, he ushered in an era of innovation and risk-taking in the Willamette Valley, all while maintaining a steadfast commitment to showcasing the very best of Oregon. After fifteen years at the helm of Dobbes and Wine By Joe, Joe has transitioned to a new chapter, founding Iterum Wines alongside his wife Patricia. With a focus on small-batch, estate-grown fruit, Iterum Wines embodies their vision for low intervention and organic winemaking. While we have changed our name to Dobbes Family Winery, we are still a small, family-run winery in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Our definition of family has evolved to include all those we share our lives with from our guests to vineyard partners, to our team, to those who share a bottle of Dobbes wine from afar.

In 2024, ROCO’s 2013 RMS Brut 10-Year DD was named #1 wine of the year on ‘The Enthusiast 100’ list by Wine Enthusiast, a first-of-its-kind honor for any Oregon winery. Transcendent wines are the expectation at ROCO Winery. We enjoyed our day overall— our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the transportation was comfortable. The winery selection was a mixed bag: one standout with fair prices and great service, one that felt overhyped and expensive, and one that was decent but hard to justify at the price point.
Your feedback is invaluable; thank you for the positive response, and we hope to see you on another tour!
Rob was a really good tour guide! We had a really good time at all three vineyards. We also enjoyed the scenic Countryside and hearing about the history of the Willamette Valley and how the Vineyards started here.

Our guide/driver, Phoebe, was amazing! She was friendly and offered great info about the area. Her driving was great and safe! My only suggestion would be that communication leading up to our event could have been better. Had we not called, we would not have known the pickup time had been adjusted.
It’s wonderful to hear you had a great time on our tour and valued our commitment; we hope you'll join us for another adventure!

This tour visited great wineries and the tour guide, Jay, was fantastic. I wish the price of the tastings were included in the tour. It was kinda pricey for just a drive to the wineries.
