From two rather distinctive Buddhist temples to two of Sri Lanka’s largest and most famous Natural Parks, this experience gives visitors the chance to see some Buddha statues over 100 feet in height among other religious murals, figurines and intricately painted passages. Your journey will also allow you a chance to catch a glimpse of Sri Lanka’s wildlife in Yala National Park as well as Bundala Wildlife Sanctuary. We booked a taxi ride from Ella to Weligama. On our way to Weligama, we also went to Udawalawe National Park. Our guide was Asanka and he was the best!! Put your started around 11 and even though it was during the day, we saw so many elephants, birds, buffalos and more! He's been doing this job for the last 24 years so he KNOWS what he's doing. He literally knew which what a group of elephants (including a baby!) is going and we got the best shot! Highly recommend doing this activity with Lakpura leisure and Asanka. They are very accommodating! The best way to do it is either email or sent a message through WhatsApp, they will plan a trip for you!
