I cannot say enough of this extrodinary experience. God blessed with sunshine amd slight breeze. Trail guide Ray was gregarious and informative. Horses were healtht and well trained. Landscape was beautiful with Mountain ranges, cattle and sheep on the hillside, trekking through field forest and lakeside. Well worth the price and experience. My 12-year old son and I had a great time! He was nervous so the guide kept his horse on a lead. My son said it was his favorite part of our trip! The horses are well behaved. The guides were great! It was a great way to see the beautiful countryside outside a car. We highly recommend!!

Absolutely amazing experience! Ray was an incredible host and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. He was so accommodating and understanding, especially when we were running a little late. The horses were well cared for, the scenery was beautiful, and the entire experience felt personal and welcoming. One of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. Thank you, Ray, for such a memorable day—we can’t recommend this enough! The visit was well worth the money (90 euro) and lasted around 1.5 hours.

A great experience and as a first time rider we felt very safe and comfortable. There were two girls that worked there that were extremely nice and very informative. There was a man that seemed to be the owner. He was very fun and even helped us plan some excursions afterwards. Overall experience was 10/10

It was amazing experience, extremely well organised. Horses were trained very well and placid even for beginners. Lovely trail great team, even with the rain it was great experience. Cannot say enough. Tried many places before but this one was 100% the best. Thank you !

If you’re looking for a horseback riding experience in Ireland that feels personal, welcoming, and genuinely fun, I can’t recommend Wicklow Mountains Horse Trekking enough. Ray Fisher, the owner, led our ride himself and completely made the experience. We arrived about minutes late because we put the wrong location in GPS. We called to let him know and he was very understanding. Ray has a huge personality — incredibly gregarious, funny, and friendly. Within minutes he had learned everyone’s names and made the whole group feel comfortable. Between the nonstop jokes, storytelling, and colorful Irish commentary, there were moments you wondered whether you were on a horseback ride or sitting in a lively pub with old friends. Our group consisted of mostly novice riders, and Ray was patient and attentive the entire ride. I’m a very nervous rider, and he gave me extra guidance and reassurance while also playfully teasing me enough to keep me laughing instead of panicking. Somehow he managed to keep an eye on everyone while still making each person feel individually looked after. The scenery in the Wicklow Mountains was beautiful, but honestly, Ray’s personality is what made this experience unforgettable. We left smiling, laughing, and feeling proud of ourselves. Highly recommend for beginners, nervous riders, and anyone who wants a horseback ride that feels authentic, entertaining, and welcoming.
