Whale Shark and Snorkeling Adventure from Isla Holbox

When we were there no Sargasso Maw nice water white beaches. Nice trips to make, especially with a Lancha organized. Price: slightly more expensive because everything has to be sailed over. Parents have seen it Our children 23 and 19 would go back one later. Going out there was fun 🤣

we had such an incredible time on this tour!! It started with breakfast and coffee at the base and complementary optional sea sickness medicine and mosquito repellent. The boat ride out there was pretty choppy, but it only took around 3.5 hours in total to find the whale sharks When we got there, we had heard that the day before there were only 2 whale sharks, but today there was around 80 - 100 at the feeding ground. You each get two swims for 2 minutes each which is pretty standard practice in the industry. Our first swim we were a bit unlucky as the whale shark swam off, so on our second swim Edier (Eddy) took extra care to make sure we had an amazing experience. It was insane, 3 or 4 whale sharks to the left, right, below us!! They were so close we had to move out of the way or else they would run into us! After the swim, we started on our way back. The conditions had improved so it was less choppy and we stopped at the mangroves (which were beautiful, and there were flamingos wandering not far away to watch) to have ceviche and soda and a swim in the warm pools. Eddy then dropped us back to the island, and afterwards he sent us 3 go pro videos he had taken of us with the whales so we could focus on just enjoying the experience. 10/10 recommend!!!

Extraordinary wildlife experience at sea!!! We were able to swim alongside the whale shark, see dolphins, turtles, flamingos, and on the way back, we made a stop to snorkel where we saw manta rays, cat sharks, pelicans, well, a true maritime expedition!!!!

Perfect Day! Boat ride can be bumpy, but just part of the adventure. Willie and Lisandro were great. Flamingoes, dolphins, turtles, Manta Rays and Whale Sharks. Great Ceviche and good company.

Wonderful experience with competent support and concise WhatsApp communication. The VIP experience company adapted the venture excellently to the weather conditions between the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea! My booking was postponed by 2 days, and today I was able to fulfill my dream of snorkeling with whale sharks! Simply fantastic and spectacular. The whale hotspot was communicated via radio, and the boats alternated in several zones with the whale sharks; it was quite reasonable for me, as rules and routines were observed! The company is absolutely recommendable, providing excellent support with good service from breakfast to service! The guides have a lot of experience and knowledge of nature, and Willie even takes GoPro footage; what more could one want! My dream came true!

The trip was amazing! The guides do a great job explaining the experience and the process to see the whales. The team makes the experience a true adventure and they prepare excellent food!

We booked the whale shark tour privately as a family of three at the beginning of June, and it was incredible. We were picked up on time from the hotel, and afterwards, there was a small breakfast and a briefing about the upcoming trip. Afterward, we went with our guide Willy and Captain Lisandro towards the whale sharks. On the way, we were able to admire many wonderful things, such as some turtles and birds. When we arrived, we were lucky to encounter about ten whale sharks and some mantas. . Willy and Lisandro truly gave their all to capture the perfect moments to go into the water with the animals! Simply breathtaking. Afterward, we headed back, with a stop at Santa Paula. There, we had some free time to admire, for example, flamingos and many other birds. Meanwhile, fresh ceviche was prepared on board (there were also vegetarian options!). Very delicious! On the way home, we also saw dolphins that accompanied us for a while. In summary, it was the perfect excursion! We particularly enjoyed the crew as well. Willy shared an incredible number of exciting and important facts about the nature of Holbox, and he took a lot of time with us! A great deal of emphasis was also placed on a respectful interaction with nature, after all, we are just visitors. The planning with the organizer also went really smoothly, and everyone made a great effort! We highly recommend the private tour as well, as it allows for much more flexibility and individual planning. Top value for money!

If May is too early in the season then why are we offering tours and taking people's money? I paid $250 to ride around on a boat all day . To then have 20mins of snorkeling at a reef that is deeper down. Making it hard to even see anything. To then get on boat to isla mujeres for another 30 minutes or so. Its a whale shark tour so maybe its better to offer the tour after the first week of June rather then take people's money and hope for the best. The captain and sailor made an amazing ceviche it was so good.The staff on the boat were absolutely amazing and were so kind , attentive and made the absolute best out of a very devastating situation as I had been looking forward to a whale shark tour for months and $250 is a lot of money in exchange for a wasted/ sacrificed vacation day Not happy with the tour company. They should not offer tours for may its too early and they know it sadly!!

We did the whale shark experience in August. Had an INCREDIBLE experience. Our guides were Eddie and Jorge. We each got two opportunities to swim with the whale sharks (beautiful creatures). It was super efficient, and they had great communication with us. After the whale shark experience we got to snorkel near Cabo Catoche, where we saw LOADS of nurse sharks, sting rays, and of course fish. We went near the shore after that and they fed us ceviche and guacamole. At the end of the tour, they dropped us at the north side of the island, which was convenient for us to get back to our hotel.
