Experience the WeWhale Denia morning adventure, a 4-hour whale and dolphin watching tour aboard our electric sailboat, 'El Som Mar.' This intimate journey, up to 10 guests, includes a hands-on masterclass by our cetacean guide on whales and dolphins and the importance of Denia's coast. You might even experience dolphin and whale communication with the use of our hydrophone to hear whale and dolphin sounds in case they are close. The possible encounters we might have include six stable cetacean species: Fin Whales, Bottlenose Dolphins, Sperm Whales, Long-Finned Pilot Whales, Risso’s Dolphins, and Common Dolphins. Further, you will be part of our active ocean conservation efforts including litter removal and wildlife rescue. Complimentary drinks and snacks from partners who share our values are also included in this trip. Join the WeWhale Denia morning experience, a captivating 4-hour journey that offers a magical start to your day with an extraordinary whale and dolphin watching adventure aboard our electric sailboat. Under the guidance of our onboard marine guide, you'll participate in a hands-on masterclass to learn about cetaceans and the significance of Denia's coast as the premier whale and dolphin watching location on the Valencian coastline. You will explore the marine reserve of Cabo de San Antonio. This area, known as the Reserva Marina del Cabo de San Antonio, is designated as a marine reserve because of its rich marine biodiversity. The waters are home to various species of fish, coral, and other marine life. Our crew will explain everything about the biodiversity to you. Enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks during the excursion, provided through partnerships with like-minded projects that share our commitment to making a positive impact.

It's been great. A committed guide who really cares about the sea and its inhabitants. She had plenty of time and we saw a lot of dolphins. No whales, but that wasn't because she didn't do her best. It was not commercially designed and that was very nice for a change.
A great experience, we didn't see any dolphins or whales, but Sofia made sure we had a fantastic time highly recommended.
Recommended experience. The owner, Sofía, is delightful and captivates you with her explanations; she is passionate about her work. One must be aware that it is a lottery to see fin whales; we were lucky that just as we were returning, we saw two, and Sofía did not hesitate to extend the excursion so we could enjoy the sighting.
On 4th october 2025 I had the great pleasure to make a 4 hours trip with 6 other participants and our captain Sophia. Even though we had been advised that the probability to see wildlife was very low, we had such a great time. Sophia was our adorable host, who provided us not only with interesting informations about her passion for wildlife but also with nice fresh fruit and drinks. Sliding on the waves silently with a sailing boat you merely hear is absolutely magic. The weather was fabulous as well. All the ingredients to have four hours for great relaxation and stress relief. We did not see dolphins or whales but observed birds and some jumping fish. For me this was a fantastic adventure and I'll be back in May or June to meet the dolphins 🐬 and 🐋. Thank you Sophia for your kindness and sharing your skills with us. ⚘️🙏
Despite the white cups at sea and no fish spotted but a very nice sunny day it was a blissful soothing boat trip.

A magnificent and absolutely relaxing experience. The silence with which we glided through the sea, just the splash of the dolphins around us. Sophia the best boss and her assistant Norma formed a perfect team constantly watching us. Recommended 100%

The guide was great and authentic. I also enjoyed the (short) time when we were sailing and otherwise the silent working of the electric engine. However almost nothing to see even having spend 4h on the sea (perhaps not the right season or time of day?). Also, ten people on such a small boat is certainly too much. This type of yacht is build for maximum 2 guests. For the price I had imagined at least some luxury / space.
Thank you for your feedback and for acknowledging the professionalism of our guide as well as the comfort of our silent electric engine. We understand that not encountering many animals can be disappointing, but as we operate 100% respectfully with wild whales and dolphins in their natural habitat, sightings can never be guaranteed. Regarding the number of guests: our vessel is licensed and certified for 12 passengers, and we always stay below this limit for safety and comfort. The yacht is designed for small-group wildlife experiences, which are very different from private luxury charters in both purpose and layout. If you would have liked to book to boat for yourself, we also offer this option. Our focus is on authentic, low-impact encounters with marine life, not on providing a luxury cruise — and we are transparent about this in our trip descriptions. We hope this clarifies the nature of our tours and the values behind them.
It's a great experience. Both the comfort of the boat, as well as the sea area of Dénia, but above all the kindness and interest of Sophia that the experience was perfect. It was not easy with three children aged 8.6 and 3, but we were almost 5 hours in the sea and it was all spectacular. In the final part of the tour we enjoyed many dolphins jumping next to the boat....incredible!!!
