Rollingdale is a family-owned farm gate winery in stunning West Kelowna, B.C., where the land's history is rooted in orchards of apples, peaches, and cherries. After lying bare for years, vines were first planted in 1999, including Marechal Foch, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc. The winery opened in 2004 with its debut vintage, and over time, expanded its vineyard to include Merlot, Chardonnay, and more Pinot Blanc. Certified organic since 2007, Rollingdale takes pride in its organic practices, growing grapes and crafting wines that reflect their deep commitment to sustainability and the land. Cheers to wine with a conscience! Enjoy 4-5 wine tastings, with time to shop for your favourite wine!
The Slamka family made their mark on West Kelowna's wine scene after moving from Czechoslovakia and planting their first vineyard in 1969. Originally, they planned to sell grapes to big commercial wineries, but by 1996, the three Slamka sons had launched Little Straw Vineyards! Their debut release in 1994 captured the essence of West Kelowna's summer grapes, and ever since, their wines have reflected decades of passion and tradition. With new vineyard blocks and modern winemaking techniques, their 12-acre parcel has produced unique wines like the fan-favorite Auxerrois in their Frizzante and Tapestry, as well as their delicious Foch wine. After over 50 years, the Slamka family passed the torch to Kalala Organic Estate Winery in 2021, leaving behind a lasting legacy in every bottle. Enjoy 4-5 wine tastings, with time to shop for your favourite wine!
Welcome to Frind Estate Winery on 3725 Boucherie Road in West Kelowna, BC, where history and wine blend perfectly! This scenic spot was once home to BC Premier Bill Bennett and his family, and it’s steeped in legacy, with Bill’s dad, W.A.C. Bennett, being the longest-serving Premier and president of the Okanagan’s first winery, Calona Wines. Every bottle of Frind Estate wine proudly features a golden pinecone, symbolizing science, Bacchus’ wine magic, and the beautiful Ponderosa Pines that inspired it. Founder Markus Frind, a math genius, drew inspiration from the Fibonacci sequence found in pinecones, which also appears in the Kelowna city logo. Cheers to a sip of history and a nod to the land we cherish! Enjoy 4-5 wine tastings, with time to shop for your favorite wine!
Great wines come from places where winemakers put their hearts and souls into crafting bottles that truly reflect their unique surroundings—where wine is more about artistry and less about just another product. Enter the Okanagan/Similkameen, a winemaking paradise where grapes defy the odds at the northern edge of the wine world. Here, the challenge of a shorter growing season makes the vines work harder, resulting in wines with a distinctively British Columbian flair. With the magic of our lakes, hills, and soils, it's no wonder our grapes thrive and produce something truly extraordinary! Enjoy 4-5 complimentary tastings and time to shop for your favorite wine!
Sarwan Gidda's dream of crafting world-class wines began with his father, Mehtab, who arrived in Canada in 1958 with just $5 and a set of metal dinnerware. Settling in the Okanagan Valley, Mehtab, an experienced mango farmer from India, adapted his skills to apple farming before Sarwan and his wife Sudarshana ventured into grape growing in 1978. They supplied top wineries like Gray Monk and Mission Hill while gradually turning their orchards into vineyards. Although Mehtab has passed, his legacy continues with Sarwan and his family running the Volcanic Hills Estate Winery, established in 2010. When you visit, you'll be greeted by Sarwan’s children, Christina, Bobby, and Amit, who are always ready to share their family’s winemaking story. Enjoy 4-5 complimentary wine tastings with time to shop for your favorite wine!
Back in 1980, Kirstin and Natasha’s parents bought a plot of land that had an old, abandoned vineyard, not knowing it would one day become The Gallery Winery! Fast forward to 2013, when things got serious—leveling the land’s tricky terrain kicked off the adventure. In 2015, they planted their very first vine and, by fall, snagged their trusty tractor, officially swapping paintbrushes for farm tools! The barn construction started in 2018 and, after some creative upgrades, transformed into The Gallery Winery by 2020. Their first harvest rolled in during 2018, and in 2021, they planted a gorgeous Cabernet Franc block and wrapped up the winery’s renovation just in time for fall. Cheers to this artistic, wine-loving duo! Here you will enjoy 4-5 tastings with time to shop!
Off the Grid Organic Winery has been in the Paynter family for over 100 years! Originally from Alnwick, England, Edwin Paynter came to Canada in 1909 with dreams of farming, buying 80 acres in Westbank. After a quick return to England for World War I, he and his wife came back in 1919 and started farming, eventually dividing the land among their seven children. Today, Edwin's great-grandsons, Travis, Sheri, Nigel, and Hayley, proudly run Off the Grid, keeping the family’s farming legacy alive with a modern twist! Here you will enjoy 4-5 tastings with time to shop for your favourite wine!
Kalala Organic Estate Winery, or "Miracle Place," is all about harmony with nature, crafting award-winning wines from organic grapes in beautiful West Kelowna. Karnail Sidhu, a third-generation organic farmer, turned his passion for sustainable farming into a thriving winery after moving to Canada in 1993. Starting at Summerhill Pyramid Winery, Karnail eventually planted his own organic vineyards, officially opening Kalala in 2008. With a fun and welcoming atmosphere, you can stroll the vineyard, enjoy tastings, and chat with Karnail himself while savoring crisp whites, bold reds, and their renowned organic Icewines! Here you will taste 4-5 wines with time to shop for your favourite wine!

We took the Sunset Sipster Dinner Tour and it was amazing! Jaz our tour guide was excellent. He went above and beyond to make it an excellent experience for us and the other couple. The vehicle was very clean and comfortable. We went to several wineries and tasted numerous delicious wines. The evening concluded with a lovely sunset dinner at a lovely golf course.

We went on the West Kelowna wine tour with a group of 8 friends and had such an amazing time! Communication before the tour was clear and easy, which made planning stress-free. Our guide, Jaz, was fantastic – super friendly, accommodating, and made the day even more fun. He played whatever music we wanted and even took lots of photos for us throughout the day. I’d highly recommend this tour, especially for a group of friends looking for a fun and memorable experience!
Thanks so much for the amazing review! We’re so glad to hear you and your group had such a fun and memorable time on the West Kelowna wine tour. Jaz is a total legend when it comes to keeping the vibes high and the day running smoothly—sounds like he hit all the right notes (literally, with the music too). We love hearing that the planning was easy and the experience delivered from start to finish. Come back anytime—there’s always more wine and good times waiting!
Just got back from a West Kelowna wine tour with Sip Happens and had an amazing time. We were well taken care of by Jaz - from the text communications, to the pick up/drop off, to the wine tour itself! We went on the Osoyoos/Oliver wine tour with Sip Happens last year and loved it so much we book their wine tour again this year.
Welcome back, and thank you for the awesome review! We love hearing that your second tour with us was just as amazing as the first. Jaz will be so happy to know he helped make your West Kelowna day extra special—from start to finish. It means a lot that you came back after last year’s tour in Osoyoos and Oliver, and we’re so glad we could deliver another unforgettable experience. Here's to making it a yearly tradition—we’ll be ready when you are!
Did a full day tour in Osoyoos with Bob. It was a wonderful and enjoyable tour. Bob was great, picked excellent wineries for us and a great place for lunch. His knowledge of the are and the wines made for a great day. Definitely recommend Sip Happens and Bob. Later that week did two half day tours in Kelowna. One day was on the west side with Lofty and the other half day with Harry on the East side. Both were very knowledgeable of the area, the wineries and accommodated our needs. Highly recommend Sip Happens.
Wow – what a fantastic week of wine touring you had! We're so glad you joined us for not just one, but three adventures. Bob will be thrilled to hear you enjoyed your time in Osoyoos—he’s got a real knack for pairing great wine with even better stories (and lunch spots, of course!). And big cheers to Lofty and Harry as well—we're lucky to have such passionate guides who love sharing the best of the Kelowna wine scene. It means a lot to hear you felt taken care of every step of the way. Thanks for the wonderful recommendation, and we hope to raise a glass with you again soon!
Thank you Sip Happens for making my birthday a most memorable one! We loved the wineries and your driver was great! I can't wait to do this again!
Thank you for spending your birthday with us—we're so happy to hear it was a memorable one! Nothing makes us happier than knowing you loved the wineries and had a great time with your driver. We can't wait to have you back for another round of wine-filled fun. Here's to making more amazing memories next time!
Our guide really got involved and cared about our tour experience. Lofty was his name. He was very informative and knowledgeable about the area.
Thanks so much for the great feedback! We're thrilled to hear you had such a fantastic time with Lofty—he’s all about making the experience special and it shows. His local knowledge and genuine care really do take the tour to the next level. So glad you enjoyed the day, and we’d love to have you back for another adventure anytime!
We didn’t get to do our Lake Country wine tour, we were moved to the west Kelowna wine tour because sip’s booking system doesn’t recognize location, even though we were only 20 minutes away from Lake Country. The bus we were picked up in had no working air conditioning on a very hot day. We were late to our first wine tasting because the driver wasn’t checking her directions properly, resulting in our other wine tastings running late and then being denied our last wine tasting because our driver got us there an hour late than scheduled. We asked the driver to call ahead at each of our locations to let them know we were coming to avoid delays, but she wouldn’t listen. The company would not give us a partial refund for this awful day. Choose another company!!!
Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear your experience didn’t meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few things. While it’s true that Lake Country is only about 20 minutes from us, that also means a 20-minute return trip—so it adds up to around 40 minutes of travel time. We carefully plan our tours with logistics in mind, which is why we chose to take you on the best wine trail on the Westside. As the top-rated premium wine tour company in the region, we always aim to deliver top-notch service. We apologize that the air conditioning on the bus wasn’t working properly—it’s certainly not the standard we want for our guests, especially on a hot day. We also regret the delays you experienced, and we understand how frustrating that can be. Our drivers do their best to keep things on schedule and communicate with wineries, though it sounds like things didn’t go as smoothly as we’d hoped this time. We truly value your feedback and will use it to improve. We wish we’d had the chance to turn things around for you, and we’re sorry your day didn’t reflect the high standards we strive for. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.
This wine tour was a great addition to our bachelorette! Our tour guide Regan was amazing. She not only made us feel welcomed right from the beginning when she picked us up from our airbnb but she was also super attentive and even pulled out portable fans at one winery when we were sitting outside. She took lots of pictures for us, had lots of knowledge about wine and make sure we stayed hydrated with water. Thanks sip happens for a great day!! ☺️
We're so glad to hear Sip Happens was a hit for your bachelorette celebration! Regan will be thrilled to know she helped make your day extra special—she really does have a knack for going above and beyond (portable fans for the win!). From fun photos to wine wisdom and hydration heroics, it sounds like she had you covered. Thanks for letting us be part of such a memorable day. Wishing the bride-to-be all the best, and we hope to sip with you again sometime!
