Monte Brasil is located in Angra do Heroísmo, on the south coast of Terceira Island, in the Azores. It comprises a caldera surrounded by four peaks: Pico das Cruzinhas, Pico do Facho, Pico da Quebrada (where the whale watch is located) and Pico do Zimbreiro.
Stop in the parish of São Mateus, known by the people as the parish of fishermen, here we have a fantastic view of the Atlantic Ocean and we have a brief passage through the church and fishing port.
Visit to the first cheese factory on Terceira Island, with a cheese tasting and the opportunity to purchase top quality regional products.
Visit the magnificent natural pools of Biscoitos! Pure, crystalline water, volcanic rock and fantastic views of the sea.

We had a great time on this tour of the west side of Terceira. Loved learning about the history of the Azores and the island. The sightseeing was incredible, and the cheese tasting was lovely! We were so impressed by André’s knowledge and he was so personable and engaging which made us feel right at home on the island and very comfortable on the tour. Highly recommend this tour, don’t miss out!

We loved touring around the island with Amelia. She was charming, funny, and knowledgeable. Not to mention, she is fluent in at least three languages and drives a stick shift like a boss. Our group had six and then we picked up one Spanish-speaking couple for a total of eight. We were blown away by the sites at Monte Brasil, enjoyed seeing the fisherman town, loved the cheese tasting, and had a blast putting our feet in the water of the natural pools of Biscoitos. It gave us a brief taste of the island to know better what we wanted to see and do for the rest of our trip.

Small group tour of West North part of Terceira. James was the perfect guide. Knowledgeable, friendly and conversed so well in Portuguese and English. Gave all of us time to ask questions and take photos. Biscoitos was the highlight.
