Meet 10 minutes before the tour begins
The Band Rotunda, a Wellington landmark since its original construction in 1938, has been closed since 2012 as it requires extensive strengthening and restoration work. Originally named by its first Polish resident Dupa as Wellington’s bottom as the area was used for processing whales and boiling blubber for oil So named after one of the earliest ships that delivered engineers and town planners from the New Zealand company that arrived after 1840
The Carter Fountain was gifted to the city of Wellington from local businessman Hugh Carter, as a memorial to his parents George and Ella Carter, and the people of Wellington for a cost of $75,000.
Painted ladies and other historic houses, such as those in the prominent Wellingtonian Streamline Moderne style, are constructed alongside and up into the hills that face the bay.
A gentle climb up 30 steps for you to see Paradise and our capital city.
Pop in for some photo opportunities with a few local cave trolls and see Peter Jackson's Weta cave. Paid tours are available at the reception.
Drive around the coast and enjoy unparalleled views of the capital and take a few photos
Head to the south coast and see the Te Kopahou visitor centre
Head to the windy heavens and witness Wellington from the west and see one of over 60 wind turbines that helps make Wellington 90% self sufficient of electricity.
Admission is included for a one way trip to the top of the Cable car and then access to the Cable car museum.
Walk through the Rose gardens
See where New Zealand law is drafted and take some photo's with King Dick

Aaron was so knowledgeable about Wellington and was full of fun and history facts. We were lucky as we had a wind free sunny morning and got to see so much. We enjoyed our pie and a few craft beers as well! Totally recommend Aaron and his guided tour.

Had an amazing time on this tour that gave us a great overview of Wellington. Visited rose garden and several very cute neighborhoods. We went to Roxy theater and Weta studios. It was a relaxing pace to see the beautiful scenery and stop for most delicious meat pie that we enjoyed at a neighborhood park. We highly recommend this tour operator and David our driver did a fantastic job. Aaron the owner even reached out to me with tour ideas when he knew our cruise itinerary changed. 😀

Enjoyed an informative and comprehensive tour with Aaron as our Guide. Visited multiple landmarks and it is a great way to get a feel of the city layout. This tour was the best way to see the whole area around Wellington. This tour took us so many places. We saw views form the top of two hill tops, we drove along the ocean, we went to the rose garden, went to an old theater and rode the cable the car. We were picked up from the ship and brought back to the ship in plenty of time. Our driver was David and he did an excellent job. He walked with us on all the stops and explained to us about the area. He was very patient and didn't rush us. Very knowledgeable about the area. We had a lot of fun. Thank you David.
