Too much talk and not enough walk. This tour would be more interesting if you got to see more. The guide would talk for a long time and then move you a short distance and then talk again for a long time. A lot of standing in the heat. Would not recommend unless you have a keen desire to know the early history of Madrid and not see much. The guide is very nice, friendly and certainly knows her history.
Nice but too long, the tour guide is amazing and very informative, I like the way that we started the tour and the city secrete
A fantastic introduction to Madrid (our first time here). The tour took about 2.5 hours and the time just vanished. Brilliant guide who certainly knows her history! Lexi also gave us useful tips of where to eat etc. Highly recommended
Lexi’s walking tour was the absolute highlight of my trip. Her energy, storytelling, and deep knowledge of the city brought every street and landmark to life. What I loved most was how she blended history, culture, and fun anecdotes in a way that felt effortless and engaging. She made the us feel instantly comfortable, answered every question with patience and insight, and added thoughtful touches throughout the tour that showed how much she genuinely cares about her guests. I walked away not only learning so much, but also feeling connected to the city in a way I never expected. If you’re considering a tour with Lexi, do it — she’s exceptional.
Lexi is awesome and obviously loves her job! Her stories bring Madrids culture and history alive! A must do.
Lovely tour! Second time doing this tour with different members of my family when they visited me here, and both times were great :). Had both Sebastian and Lexi, great tour guides!
Absolutely the best walking tour ever! Anywhere!!! Lexi is fun, knowledgeable and a delight to be with. I would highly recommend tours
Excellent tour, Lexi was extremely knowledgeable and a great story teller.
PERFECT introduction to Madrid. Well-paced and gave us a wonderful “feel” for Madrid. Our guide was knowledgeable and willing to entertain ALL of our questions. This tour set the stage for us to further explore the wonders of Madrid. The small size of the tour group allowed everyone to ask questions and keep up with the guide. We HIGHLY recommend this tour!
Lexi was amazing! She was full of life and information. She entertained us with the history of Madrid, and she enthralled all ages in our group (young and older people). We walked to Plaza Mayor where we got a history lesson from the roots of Madrid until modern times. From there, we walked to Cava Baja. We discussed how to find great food and where to get it. We walked the side streets noting the street names. We walked to the Plaza de la Villa where Lexi spoke of the history of the crown and architectural styles. Some may think that these topics may be dry or boring, but no when Lexi is telling the story. Lexi has an excitement and joy that captures the audience. My teenage kids were fully enjoying it. We walked onto the Cathedral and Palace making one unique and interesting spot that is commandingly overlooked. I’ll leave it a mystery, but a great historical experience! We ended with the story of the cathedral and the palace fire with the rebuild of the palace. We took pictures of the palace and area. It was great! In my opinion, Lexi was the best starting point for our family’s visit to Madrid. We know where to visit and what we want to focus on for the rest of our vacation.
