Twice at Waterbom Bali – and we would happily return!

We have now visited Waterbom Bali twice, and both visits were fantastic experiences for our family. On our first visit in June, we asked at the ticket counter because we had seen a family package online that included lockers and towels. It actually turned out to be cheaper and easier to arrange everything on the spot using our phones. The whole process was quick and straightforward. When we visited again in August, online booking was no longer available, so we simply walked from our hotel – about 10 minutes away – and purchased our tickets at the entrance. Once again, everything was easy and well organised. All the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful. We also really liked the cashless payment system. You receive a wristband with an integrated chip, which you can use to pay throughout the park. It makes everything very convenient and means you don't have to carry cash or worry about your wallet while enjoying the attractions. Our children are still under 1.20 m tall, so they were unable to use some of the larger slides. However, that certainly did not stop them from having an amazing day. The AquaPlay area was a huge hit and kept them entertained for hours. One of the highlights for us was the FlowRider. There happened to be a family of experienced surfers using it, and we probably spent 15 minutes just watching them. It was great entertainment in itself and impressive to see what can be done on the wave. The pool bars are also highly recommended. Our daughters shared one of the giant milkshakes topped with a doughnut and were absolutely thrilled. Sometimes it's the little holiday treats that create the biggest smiles! The food throughout the park was surprisingly good. Even with special requests, everything was handled without any problems. One of our favourite memories was having lunch delivered directly to the AquaPlay area while the kids played under the giant tipping bucket. As parents, we also appreciated how family-friendly the park is. At one point, we wanted to ride the Boomerang together. The lifeguards were happy to keep an eye on our daughters for a few minutes while we enjoyed the slide as a couple. It may seem like a small thing, but gestures like that make a big difference when travelling with young children. The only thing that disappointed us slightly was the inconsistency regarding ride restrictions. During our June visit, both of our daughters were allowed to ride the Twin Racers mat slide. When we returned in August, only one of them was allowed to use it, despite there being no noticeable change in height or age. We fully respect safety rules, but it would be helpful if they were applied consistently so families know what to expect. That said, this was only a minor issue in what was otherwise another fantastic day out. For us, Waterbom is one of those rare attractions where you can easily spend an entire day without getting bored. Excellent facilities, great food, friendly staff and plenty to keep younger children entertained. And perhaps the best compliment we can give Waterbom as parents: after a full day of slides, swimming, running around AquaPlay, enjoying milkshakes and exploring the park, both of our daughters were finally tired by the end of the day! 😉 Anyone travelling with energetic young children will understand just how valuable that is. We left with happy kids, great memories and a couple of very relaxed parents. That's probably the strongest recommendation we can give. After two visits, we can confidently say: we would happily come back for a third!

One of our best days in Bali!

We had the most amazing family day at Waterbom! Buying tickets online was super easy, and getting into the park was a breeze. The prepaid wristbands made buying food, drinks, and pictures so convenient. The ride selection for both kids and adults is fantastic, and the lines moved surprisingly fast, which is a huge plus with little ones! We hired a gazebo that ended up being right next to the pristine washrooms and showers. Great food, delicious coffees and desserts, and top-notch service all around. Highly recommended!

Great, clean, safe water park

Great waterpark in excellent condition with the best safety and staffing I've experienced at a waterpark. Give yourself the whole day if you can. Getting in takes away while due to security etc.

Waterbom is fantastic

What a fantastic day! Waterbom Bali is an incredible water park. There are so many slides and suitable for toddlers all the way up to thrill seekers. Easy entrance with barely any wait time. The park is kept so clean. All of the staff were fantastic and went above and beyond with all guests and ourselves. The food choices were fantastic - not just fat greasy food. There were salads, wraps, local food, Mexican, sushi, pasta, pizza and I could go on. All food cooked fresh. You could get ice cream, coffee, cookies, doughnuts, popcorn, smoothies, milkshakes and fresh juices. The toilets were also kept very clean too. I would definitely do this water park again and 100% recommend

Awesome family fun for the whole family

Our family had an unforgettable experience at Waterbom during our recent trip to Bali. The booking process was seemless and the waterpark facility was world class!!!! The crowds each day are limited so wait times for rides are very reasonable (no longer than 20-25mins). Food and beverage options for lunch are fantastic and the option of having a massage while the kids go wild on the water slides is genius! All the staff in the park are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to assist. Special mention to Wirsa who was absolutely fantastic and assisted to organise a family day pass as well as cabana hire for our group. Would highly recommend spending a day at Waterbom while visiting Bali!

A marvel in every respect!

Incredible! It was absolutely great, but I must say that we had reserved a gazebo, a small wooden cabin with bunks, so there was no need to look for a spot at the pool and they brought our drinks to us right there. So an incredible experience, great slides, staff very attentive, smiling, always ready to help. They clean everywhere all the time! Restrooms super clean all day long, the ground too, the vegetation is simply magnificent. Wonderful day!

Great day with lots of fun and smiles all over

Loved every single minute of it! I am not really a waterpark fan so mostly went for my two teenagers, age 16 and 14, but absolutely loved it myself: we hired a Luxury Gazebo which really added to my positivity! Having your own space to relax, leave your bags and valuables in the safe was great! Also, you could order food and drinks in the nearest restaurants and they would deliver in the gazebo! Amazing. The staff are all super friendly, throughout the day. Also very helpful! For every slide there is one member of staff at the top, making sure you are ok and safe and one at the bottom, making sure you are landing safely and can get out of the floaty. They also manage the queues well. The food was amazing (one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had - and I ate one in Central Park in NYC so that says something) and very reasonably priced. Loved the photos that were taken everywhere and the fact that on the rides they use facial recognition. Top tip: they could not find my photo on one of the slides and it makes it easier for the staff to find you if they kind of know what time you were on, so checking your watch every now and again can help. Very smooth check out, with staff still smiling. So absolutely great; and if you can afford it - would definitely book a Gazebo for the day!

Family day out

Good day but the cashless money thing was bit of a crock. Forced deposits on wrist band and locker deducted from ur uploaded money bit of crap as it deducts from the money put in. Understand things cost $$ for convenience but when on budget it leaves u a lot less to use for the food etc and this ++ is crap too. Just put the real price up would making a purchase easier for all to understand how much things cost. And over $20/photo is crap as is only a download not a picturesquely it cant be that expensive to use email.

Great day out. Highly recommended. Some prior knowledge/research of the park will improve your experience.

Amazing. Just do it! No excuses - just go. Waterbom is brilliant. It advertises as being voted the best waterpark in Asia, as of 2025. From my experience, they have earned this title. But there are a few tips you should consider, to make the most of your day. 1) Be early. The lockers and Gazebos are all booked by about 11:00am each and every morning. If you don’t want to be carrying your stuff around all day, get there at opening time. 2) This is a cashless resort. You load money onto a wristband on entry, this can be topped up at select places once inside. On leaving, any left over funds are returned to you in cash. If going at the start of your holiday, this is pretty much an ATM without transaction fees. 3) Wear comfy swimming custom and suitable footwear; crocs/flip-flops etc. it’s a lot of walking, it’s a lot of stairs, and it’s hot. The paths are often made of pebbles poured onto concrete. Shoes will prevent you from getting sore feet. Comfortable swimwear will prevent rubbing. 4) Check your swimwear. They take safety seriously; especially in relation to the slides. No metal, of any kind, is allowed on the slides. No zips. No exposed fasteners or rivets, no Jewelry etc. I saw countless visitors walking around in swimwear which had been turned inside out. The main reason being small, metal, drainage holes in the back of swimming shorts. The staff also provided a service of cutting out (with scissors), any offending metal parts, which meant some guest walked around like Edward Scissor-Hands had scratched their butts. — As for the park, it’s great fun. There are plenty of attractions which are suitable for people of all ages and heights. The maximum weight of a person, for most slides, was 138Kg. Several slides had a minimum height for riders, ranging from 100cm-140cm. Each slide was staffed and they check for weight and height of riders, as and when required. Wait times for slides were available on an App and digital signage around the park. We went on a busy day and the longest we waited was about 30 minutes. However, the lines rarely exceeded 15 minutes or so of waiting. The layout and organisation were fantastic, as were the staff, guiding you on where to go. There are a lot of steps up to each slide, as to be expected, but they are cleanly signposted to each slide. Staff, excellent, they all looked happy to be there and genuinely wanted you to have a great time. Just as impressive was the food and drink options. Lots of variety. All of it fresh and delicious. Expensive by Balinese standards (about double the price of equivalent items outside of the park) - but the price point was still good value for tourists. Really loved the place. Fantastic was to round off our trip to Bali.

Great day out!

Great day out. Although you can’t take food inside it’s all reasonably priced. Book well in advance for a gazebo though as they seem to book out 6-8 weeks in advance
