Itinerary
It is an islet of about 6 km² of surface and 13.7 km of coastline, located 2 km northeast of Fuerteventura and 8 km south of Lanzarote, islands separated by the Bocaina Strait. The islet can be seen clearly from Corralejo, the nearest town. The channel that separates Fuerteventura de Lobos, whose depth does not exceed 10 meters, is known as «El Río» or «Paso de la Orchilla» .1 Its name is due to the fact that in the past, monk seals or friar of the Mediterranean inhabited the island (also known as sea lions), now in danger of extinction. The fishermen eliminated the species, since they thought that their voracity reduced the marine resources of the area. Each of these animals needs between 30 and 40 kilograms of fish a day. Reintroduction efforts of sea lions are being made, despite fishermen's refusal. The small island is fully protected and forms the Islote de Lobos Natural Park. It houses more than 130 plant species and several bird species, highlighting the seagull, the bustard (at certain times of the year) and the cinderella shear. The seabed is an underwater reserve area and contains a great ecological wealth. Its maximum height is located in La Caldera, also known as El Filo La Herradura, 127 meters high.

Booked 4 hour catamaran cruise. Disappointing. Got moored and ready to go off boat when we were shunted by another boat then wasted 25 mins whilst cruise operator navigated us to a different spot. The paddle boarding and kayaking were a joke - no paddles provided and boards were on a rope behind ship so could only sit in them. Sea currents strong so snorkelling difficult even as a relatively strong swimmer. Unlimited drinks weren’t even offered until been on boat for 2.5 hours then one drink and only water suitable for diabetic member of family - no diet drinks. Paella ok. Trip round island we were expecting was in fact just around one corner. Also wasn’t made clear we wouldn’t be actually going on island . Expensive trip to sit on a paddleboard looking at los lobos with very limited drinks. Don’t waste your money - buy your own snorkels and get ferry to island or hire paddle boards from beach in corralejo.
Excellent organization and hospitality. Dolphins and flying fish are beautiful.
Very good experience, many Thanks to Adolfo and Valentina, very kind, may God bless you always.
Extraordinary experience! The team is exceptional; at the front desk, following a cancellation issue with another provider, Sarah, Justine, and the manager did everything they could to accommodate a group of 28 people, and a HUGE thank you to them! It is a team, both at the front desk and on the boats, that is caring and dedicated. A thousand thanks!
Worthwhile! Very friendly and customer-oriented!
Exceptional 4 hour Catamaran tour around Lobos island with SUP, Snorkelling, Kayaking and swimming. We also had a delicious Paella and prosecco too. Valentina and the captain were excellent hosts, friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. We loved it and would highly recommend to anyone.
The excursion itself is fine; it does not depend much on Viator since it is run by the Perdomo company, but the sales aspect... Viator offers a discount for Canary residents, which you cannot obtain at the time of payment. That was the negative and decisive point for the rating.
Amazing experience we enjoyed a lot. Valentina and Adolfo were very kind and we hope to come back next year.
They were running late but the island was fantastic. Boat was great fun too, speeding along at around 18 knots across the chop!
We were welcomed by Adolfo and Jaime aboard a truly splendid catamaran for a four-hour trip to Lobos Island. From the very first moment, they proved to be extremely friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail. When Adolfo discovered it was my birthday, he reserved a special treatment for us that made the experience even more memorable. During the excursion, we enjoyed an excellent paella, so much so that we even had seconds! It was a very pleasant day spent among wonderful views, relaxation, and great company. In addition to a splendid excursion, we had the pleasure of meeting two truly special people. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
