Me and my wife had a great time with Paul's helpful. He organized and make sure we had a good experiences, explain all our question and also share some good information about the city and culture. Thank you.
This is unfair. I paid vnd 2.4 million based on published price Another vnd 1.8 million I am asked to pay for tour tickets, just 2 days before tour and vnd 800k for holiday surcharge The published price is misleading.
The puppet show was sold out, so we ended up going to see the AO Bamboo Circus. Our guide was Lucas, and he was phenomenal. Not only was he very knowledgeable about Saigon, he was friendly and engaging. He was our interpreter all evening, and made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The AO show itself was really good. Like a Vietnamese Cirque du Soleil. Then we went on a dinner river cruise. The food was very traditional, so expect things you won't see in Canada. But, it was tasty. The entertainment was good, and by the end of the night, my husband Eric and Lucas were onstage doing Karaoke. That was fabulous. Overall, it was a great night, and the service was exceptional. Thank you!!
I would give the tour guide (Levi) a 5 star rating because he was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made the experience super fun. The puppet show was so much fun, I highly recommend. However, I feel ripped off because at the dinner I was only given a limit of up to 500k to eat. It was kind of hard for me to choose what to eat from the menu. Cruise was okay. But overall I would give my tour guide 5+ stars for going above and beyond.
Sadly, I wasn't all too impressed with this experience. This is mainly due to the cruise and food part of it. The puppet show was an experience and I enjoyed watching a traditional show that had been around for 100s of years. Unfortunately, it was only in Vietnamese with no leaflet in English to help you understand the story. We were advised to leave 10 minutes before the end to ensure we got to the cruise on time, due to traffic. This was the first little negative. When we got to the cruise, we were shown to the buffet restaurant, which was packed with very loud music from the live band. There was very little food left and what was, was luke warm at best. I appreciate it's mass catering but the tour description (private tour) has you believing everyone is doing the puppet show and then cruise, so you'd all be getting the buffet served at the same time. If I'd have known, I wouldn't have booked it. The food was a disappointment and it didn't live up to the promise of a 'dinner cruise'. Turns out the private tour part is having a guide meet you at pick up and accompany you throughout. If this makes the experience cost more, I wouldn't bother. FYI - this is in no way a reflection on the tour guide we had. She was lovely and I've no complaints with her. The cruise itself was pleasant, but there is very little space to sit outside when it's raining. We got some great views of the skyline at night but that was it. If you're looking for a quick and cheap means of cruising down the river then this would be OK. But if you're wanting more of a dinner cruise and have higher expectations of food, then I would book somewhere else.
Went for the Water Puppet Show and Dinner Cruise on Saigon River tour. It was very meaningful and interesting. Dinner on cruise was very enjoyable and delicious. Tour guide was Kieran. Would recommend 10/10
The whole tour was amazing from the start with the motorbike ride to the water puppets, the show was great then back on the nines to the river cruise. The food was great, the boat and crew lovely and then to finish the tour with a motorbike ride through the city and to all the out of the way back alley real Vietnam experience. Loved every minute a big thanks to our tour guides Kieran and Levi
This whole experience was amazing the two tour guides we had (Kieran and Levi) were so lovely, they took care of us for the whole tour and the night motorbike ride tour of the city was just incredible. If you are coming to Ho Chi Min do this tour you won’t regret it especially if you get to do it with Kieran and Levi❤️❤️❤️
We had Kieran as a guide and he was excellent. This was a last minute booking so we were on a little different boat for dinner than they usually take, but I am glad it worked out that way. We started out with the water puppet show, which was surprisingly fun. Then we made our way to the dinner cruise, Tau Ben Nghe. It had all Vietnamese foods, they had live seafood onboard and took the fish we order fresh from the tank to cook it. We also had a seafood hotpot that was excellent. Loved the more local cruise as well as their traditional water puppet show to start the night.
Kieran was our tour guide and he was amazing. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made our outing fun and interesting. We will recommend Kieran to our friends travelling to Vietnam. The evening was a huge success.
