Kinda a bait-and-switch. Seating was supposed to be first-come-first-served. But the driver kept telling everyone “you can’t sit there””!” The first 35 minutes we drove around with no tour guide. We listened to two drivers tell us about their second jobs and where to find a hotdog stand. The guide, Sam, got on board after the first 35 minutes and was very knowledgeable but needed constant validation of what he was saying, using “right” “ok” “alright”. After a total of three hours, most everyone was dropped off for lunch, including our tour guide. And we were told the tour was over! I had spoken with Calvin, one of the drivers about this at our last stop. He just made excuses that there were detours. I told him about my disappointment of paying for a 4-hour guided tour and getting a 2.5-hour tour. I had suggested the Jefferson Memorial as we were relatively close. So after the majority was dropped off, with our guide, Calvin announced that we would go to the Jefferson Memorial and see also where the dirt from the White House ballroom addition was being stored. (That was definitely at the top of my list!) But he said he couldn’t say anything about those sites because he wasn’t a guide. There was no intention of this being a 4-hour guided tour.
Joey was an excellent guide and Jackie was an excellent driver. I learned so much about each place we visited. The one thing I would change would be to go to Arlington Cemetery instead of taking the boat tour.
Nick with USA Guided Tours did an outstanding job.
Great information and knowledge from Sam. Easy to enjoy and very comfortable bus. Sam did speak quite quickly for some people but was a font of insight and answered questions very well.
Deion was great in our night tour of all the monuments. Very fun to be around and was an excellent guide. Highly recommend
We really enjoyed seeing many of the historical and important places in Washington DC. Noam was a great tour guide, he knew a lot about history.
We took the 6hr bus tour of DC and visited many of the memorials and enjoyed a boat tour on the Potomac as well. This tour was exactly what we wanted. Just the right combination of short stops at each memorial, moderate amount of walking and nice air conditioned guided bus tour. Our tour guide, Nick was fabulous! He was a walking-talking encyclopedia of historical knowledge and kept us entertained with his witty humor!
Our guide, Rob, was amazing and bought our tour of Washington to life. A must do tour and the highlight of our tour so far, this was an amazing experience!
It's a walk and a truck at the same time, but it's easy, it's a small boat ride where you eat lunch, it's worth the price, there's no time to go to the bathroom, you'll have to miss something to see in case.
We booked a 6 hour DC Tour. Our guide was Sam and driver was Corin. Both were awesome. Due to areas being closed to vehicle access for repairs and upgrade for the Semiquincentennial, there was more walking than we expected, but definitely doable. Waters are provided and the ONLY thing allowed on the bus. Pro tip, bring sunscreen, hat and hydrator powder (Liquid IV or Gatorade) to add to the water. I loved that the tour touched briefly on lots of areas and allowed us to figure out where we wanted to concentrate our time the following day. Sam is really interested in history and full of facts and amusing stories to compliment the tour.
