Itinerary
Begin your tour with pickup from the Hyatt Regency and hop on either a minibus or van (depending on the amount of travelers) to begin your tour. The tour guide will give you a brief introduction of the itinerary and themselves and then you will head to towards the capitol.
The Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met here for more than two centuries. Begun in 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored; today, it stands as a monument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government.
ch of the seven levels in this magnificent building is packed with interactive exhibits that increase understanding of the importance of a free press and the First Amendment. Visitors experience the story of news, the role of a free press in major events in history, and how the core freedoms of the First Amendment — religion, speech, press, assembly and petition — apply to their lives.
FBI Headquarters
Historic 1899 building where visitors can go up to the clock tower for dramatic views of D.C.
Owned by the U.S. General Services Administration and managed by TCMA (A Drew Company), the building is the first and only federal property designated for public and private use. As the official World Trade Center, Washington, DC, the building features a premier conference and event center, executive office space, attractions and exhibits, retail, parking, dining and community-focused programming and entertainment.
Hop off the bus and walk to the front of the White House at 17th and Pennsylvania Ave during which your guise will discuss details about the white house and what can be seen in Lafayette Park.
Through stone architecture and bronze sculptures, the World War II Memorial recognizes the ways Americans served, honors those who fell, and recognizes the victory they achieved to restore freedom and end tyranny around the globe.
A 19-foot bronze statue of perhaps the most esteemed founding father sits beneath a columned rotunda in the style of the Roman Pantheon.
Named in honour of Martin Luther King, Jr., and was opened in 1980. It is a Modernist plaza set on a raised terrace platform and separated from the surrounding streets by a series of steps.
A living memorial to the Holocaust, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum inspires citizens and leaders worldwide to confront hatred, prevent genocide, and promote human dignity.
D.C.'s largest private art museum has impressive collections of both American and European art.
On exhibit" World War I was a time of phenomenal growth for the Red Cross ultimately helping to define and create the organization we know today. To commemorate this event, a new exhibit, entitled Answering the Call, the American Red Cross in World War I, is on view at the historic Red Cross National Headquarters building in Washington, DC.
Built to honor George Washington, the United States' first president, the 555-foot marble obelisk towers over Washington, D.C. The Washington Monument is currently closed to visitors to allow for modernization of the elevator.

We didn’t stop at some of the designated stops, it was just a drive-by, driver never assisted anyone in or out of the van. Was an elderly lady having a hard time getting in and out of the van finally a family member asked if he had a step they could use so they literally would have to get the step from the front seat, put it on the ground for her, and then put it back in the front seat. Driver never left his driver seat. Worst experience I’ve ever had on a tour with via tour.
It was a lot of fun! Our guide was super nice and helpful. There is a lot of walking so keep that in mind.
Our driver was nice and had a lot of knowledge of everything. It was an enjoyable experience. Timing was good. Live all the lights at night
The driver was very knowledgeable, let us get out and walk around to take great photos. Despite reviews that we have read this was a great time!
We were there 15 minutes before pickup. We waited. No one showed. We left because we did not see anyone and called viatar to get a refund. He tells us the person had shown up as we turned around and went back which was all of 740 for a 7:30 tour as we walked up he pulled off and we were not on the van. If we had been late I'm sure that would have been our fault but he was not there and we feel we should get a refund
The driver was unprofessional and had poor behavior which made us feel uncomfortable. He arrived 8 minutes past the departure time (at 7:38) when we were asked to meet by 7:10. When they did arrive, he did not tell us his name nor did he make a gesture to open the van door (at all throughout the trip). While they did stop at the designated places, many of them were rushed or just quickly zoomed past (to look at out of tinted windows). The driver became noticeably annoyed if anyone asked a question and just continued to talk over us. At one point, he answered a phone call (in front of us) yelling at someone about needing gas money. At the end, he made it clear that he wanted tips and even said, "oh good- it ends in zero" when someone gave him a tip. His behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable in our opinion. Choose another company!
We were the only ones on the tour which was nice. The tour guide had lots of great information, however we were in a small old van with the tour guide another person and a dog. They did not introduce themselves and the ride felt somewhat uncomfortable
Washington after dark is beautiful. Our tour, however, did not meet expectations. Our tour leader frequently talked over questions, gave bare-bones descriptions of buildings and presidents who authorized their construction without adding warmth or little known stories. And the 3 hour tour was over in two hours. Beautiful city but not all it could have been.
Seeing the monuments at night is very cool but our guide/driver was not good. First they were late. He misspoke repeatedly as he described things. He wouldn’t finish some of what he started to say and he ignored our questions. No guide came with us at the stops. Our three hour tour was done in less than two hours and then he dropped us off at a different location than pickup even though I clearly told him that I didn’t want that. He looked exhausted and I think he just wanted to get things over and go home.
The driver was very informative we enjoyed the trip save the hassle of the traffic and plan a trip the van was comfortable
