One cannot visit Sarajevo and miss this. One needs to know the history. Kenan was very informative. This tour gives a very good overview, there is a lot to take in. I had the time to go back to the museums, which one could easily spend a day in, depending on your level of interest.
Great trip! easy pick up, enough time for photos, informative info. Ken is a great guide, I used him for taxi transfers and he helped me out with an issue too. Don't hesitate to use this company.
This is a tour that takes you through the recent, dark and turbulent past of the former Yugoslavia. We visited the very emplacements from which the enemy army besieged and rained down artillery on the City of Sarajevo. In another highlight of the tour, we crossed the so called tunnel of hope which the defending army dug below the airport grounds in order to avoid Serbian artillery fire. At every moment of this tour our guide Kenan A. was available to provide valuable context and thoroughly answer our questions. I should also say that Kenan is equally versed in many other topics of the former Yugoslavia (like music) which I particularly appreciated, myself also being a fan of ex-Yugo rock music.
I had the tour with Kenan Avdić and had a great time he explains everything and answers the questions we may had, he also gives really good recommendations about what to do or eat in Sarajevo and is super friendly
We had an impressive war time experience. Thanks to Kenan for a comprehensive historical deep dive into the history of Bosnia and for the friendly atmosphere during the tour.
Very interesting tour without which we would have left Sarajevo without understanding what really happened. Mario, our guide, guided us through the city showing us the highlights to the tunnel of hope. His interpretation of the facts is widely shared and completely overturns the narrative that the Balkan wars are the result of ethnic tensions rather than political misdeeds.
It was an amazing tour! I mean: AMAZING tour! Too many information about the city's history, about the war, about funny and interesting things in the city! I super recomend guys! It worth it a lot! Thank you Very much Ken 🙂
It was a wonderful tour, we saw a lot of places and got a good amount of background information on the war in Sarajevo from the guide! Ken did it in an very informatove but still entertaining way! My highlights were the abandoned bobsleigh road and sunset by the yellow fortress.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with this tour and this travel agency in Sarajevo. From the very beginning, the tour guide made me feel truly welcome. He is an incredibly gentle, caring, and responsible person who clearly loves his job and takes it very seriously. At the same time, everything felt relaxed and natural — it honestly felt more like spending the day with a friend than being on a formal tour. We joined the Sarajevo Under Siege tour, and it was outstanding. The guide is extremely knowledgeable and tells stories in a way that keeps you fully engaged. He explained the history of Sarajevo and the region in great depth, covering World War I, World War II, the Siege of Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, Bosnia, Serbia — everything — but always in a clear, human, and thoughtful way. You could really feel his passion for history and for sharing it with others. During the tour, we visited many important and meaningful places, including the Tunnel of Hope, several war checkpoints, an old hotel that was used during the war, cemeteries, a beautiful viewpoint over the city, and more. We also stopped to eat together, which added to the friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Nothing felt rushed — he made sure everyone was comfortable and that everything was well organized. What I appreciated most was how much he genuinely cared about our experience. He constantly checked that everything was going well and made sure we understood the places we were visiting, not just historically, but emotionally as well. I enjoyed this tour so much that I am actually going with him again tomorrow on a trip to Mostar — that says everything. I would highly recommend this guide and this agency to anyone visiting Sarajevo. I would absolutely do another tour with him again, without hesitation. A truly memorable experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The tour was great. Ken did a really good job of explaining the history of the tunnel and he kindly answered all of our questions. The tour was fun and informative, highly recommend.
