tanding on the same location since 1647 and designated a Canada National Historic Site given its architectural value, the Cathedral bears witness to the history of a whole population. Visitors will see various works of art and pieces of archives with the splendid interior decoration as a background. You could also see de Holy Door.
Place Royale is where Samuel de Champlain founded the City of Québec in 1608. With buildings that combine French and British influences and the oldest stone church in North America, the square has a charm all its own.
The streets of the Petit-Champlain district and Place Royale are an invitation to travel back in time to the founding of Québec over 400 years ago. The sense of history in this square is palpable. Friendly and knowledgeable guide. This tour was a great way to learn Quebec history and get your bearings of old Quebec for someone who was visiting for the first time.
Book it, you’d be happy you did as it would make your trek memorable! Our guide Kevin was very engaging, connecting his spiel to his tour group mix, so it resonated well. To keep historical details entertaining, he timed his delivery: why are those doors so very small, what’s with pulley above the door-to-nowhere on the 4th floor, what’s with the ambiguous sculpture?
It was a very enjoyable, informative and entertaining walk. We did have occasional difficulty understanding our guides English, but overall a very positive experience.

Wear comfortable shoes….if you are up for walking it’s a good tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.
The guide was great ad very knowledgeable about old Quebec. Easy to find at the top of the hill across from the famous hotel.
Very interesting historical tour with “Louis Hebert”. Quick pace between stops, left a few people behind at times. Lasted exactly two hours.
We had a great guide. She was informative and presented information in a fun way. Old Town, Quebec City, is a great place to visit.
Keven our guide was awesome! He gave us a great overview of the city and its history. He also included more detailed history of the city’s people and events throughout the centuries. He answered many and all questions asked by our group. We’ve done many walking tours around the world and this quite possibly has been the most enjoyable!
Great experience, with knowledgeable and entertaining guides. Route was ideal, pointing out all tourist spots.
