Our guide Susan was great. She provided a lot of anecdotes about Kauai history during the tour, which I really enjoyed. She was also very attentive to dietary restrictions and likes/dislikes of her guests during the tour. I paid extra for a mai tai at Tahiti Nui and it was yummy with a very heavy dose of rum.
Our tour guide made us feel like family. She shared history, other food places we might like in the area, and made us feel so welcomed.
It was fun but there was very little food for the price. Only three spots for food, the third just an appetizer, and dessert was very basic as you can get cream pie anywhere. I was under the impression we would get to taste multiple kinds of food. I could have gone to all three spots and had the same food for under 100$ for the three of us. This was pretty disappointing and I won't recommend to anyone to spend that kind of money for food tasting only if you want the experience which was mediocre as well. I was disappointed for sure.
We had some amazing food and learned a lot of history. Well worth the money!!! Susan is knowledgeable and fun
So much fun. Good food, good conversations, be prepared to be full!
The tournwas fantastic! We stopped at 3 local restaurants and they were expecting us at all 3. We got true local food and it was all absolutely delicious. As for the tour and the guide, Susan was a joy and she truly took care of every guest. Brought you food, water, napkins, and checked in frequently. She got to know you and even ran through the rain to get us pie. I definitely reccomend this to all!
Our favorite way to enjoy a new town is to take a food tour and this one did not disappoint. We were a small group of four and our guide, Susan, provided us with information on the history and culture of Kauai, while adding a personal touch- and the food! We went to three local establishments and tried kahlua pork with salmon and poi, a classic plate lunch of red chile fried chicken with mac and potato salad and an ahi carpaccio with capers and basil aioli- and macadamia cream pie for dessert!
The guide is awesome; food choices were delicious and authentic; and you will learn more about the history of Kauai.
Susan was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of information about the different foods we ate as well as about the history of Kauai. I learned and ate a lot. The foods were all delicious! She also sent us a list of restaurants around the island that she recommends for different types of food. Make sure to come on an empty stomach- I did and still did not finish everything! I would highly recommend this tour!!
Glad you learned and ate a lot - thatʻs our whole goal!
I have been on a lot of food tours. This one didn’t have as much historical info as other food tours but it is the most food I have ever been given on a food tour and I have been on many. Susan was friendly and a good guide
Stoked that we match upw ith other food tours! Weʻll work on telling more historic stories for you.
