Visiting necropolis was not interesting, waste of time. The rest of the town was interesting, need to be ready for intensive walking.
This place is beautiful! Andrea was a great tour guide. It’s a beautiful place to see if you have already been to Rome and want something close to the port.
We were 5 minutes late due to cruise port traffic. And they were gone. Ended up taking city bus for $4, and did the tour by ourselves for under $40. No communication at all. Do not use the company
we must clarify that the delay was unfortunately not just 5 minutes. Cruise port traffic can happen, which is exactly why the meeting time and instructions are clearly provided in advance and why guests are asked to arrive on time. Our team waited as much as possible, but this was a shared tour and we could not delay the experience for all the other guests who arrived on time. The review left on the same day by guests who did arrive at the meeting point on time clearly shows our good faith, the quality of the tour, and the positive experience delivered.
The tour operator MyLoveItaly did not arrive at the pickup point, did not answer phone callls or respond to texts. Then they refused to provide a refund without explanation.
We understand your frustration, however this is exactly the same situation already addressed in the review above. Our team was present at the correct meeting point, and guests who arrived on time joined the tour without any issue. This confirms that the tour operated as scheduled and that the meeting details were valid. We always do our best to assist our guests, but it is also important that everyone takes responsibility for arriving at the correct pickup point and on time, following the information provided in the booking instructions.
The walk through the old city was phenomenal. The necropolis was interesting with a lot of tombs. Andrea’s knowledge of his hometown and surrounding areas was very helpful and was an added plus to the tour. He was very accommodating and informative. His vehicle was clean and comfortable.
Andrea picked me up in a smart air conditioned van for the tour. Unfortunately my partner was ill which is why I was solo. The tour was just for the two of us but went ahead with just me. We drove to the necropolis where I had a couple of hours to visit the numerous tombs. We then did a city walking tour with my very experienced and knowledgeable guide visiting many points of interest. When we came to the Museo Archeologico my guide gave me an hour to view the exhibits. Unfortunately the Etruscopolis was now closed for lunch so reluctantly due to the time I returned to the port and my ship. My only regret was not seeing the last venue which would have brought to life the experience of the Necropolis. Many thanks for a good educational visit.
Although started off with a rough start (they forgot to pick us up), once we got a hold of them, they circled back around and picked us up. The tour was amazing. Tarquinia was a great alternative to going to Roma from Civitavecchia. The underground tombs were insane to see and the town itself so quaint and charming. Highly recommend. Paolo was a great guide.
