PLEASE NOTE: There is a minimum number of 4 passengers to ensure the tour will take place. Do not fret...we do offer private tours for 1-3 people please see our Vineyard Wine Tasting for 2-3 people from Scottsdale/Phoenix. Saturday tours we can only guarantee 3 Vineyards. Javelina Leap is a family operated, premium boutique winery with award winning wines. Our winery is in northern Arizona’s Verde Valley only minutes away from Sedona in the small historic valley of Page Springs.
In 2008, the first wines were produced and bottled for family and friends, and has been expanding rapidly ever since. Today, the D.A.Ranch produces nearly 1,500 cases of wine to share with our visitors. Whether you are new to Arizona wines, or a longtime supporter, there’s a unique story to tell in each and every glass. Subject to availability).
Oak Creek Vineyards and its 11 acres are located at 1555 N Page Springs Road, 11 miles northeast of Sedona, and 500 ft from Oak Creek, one of the few natural year-round bodies of water in Arizona. At 3,400 ft elevation, the vineyard sits in the shadows of House Mountain, providing mostly volcanic soil with some loam and gravel. Established in 2002, the winery produces close to 3,000 cases annually of both white and red wines local to Arizona.

It was only 3 winery’s. It’s about a 2 hour and 15 minute drive from Scottsdale both ways. They bring you to tasting rooms and tell you to be back in an hour. We didn’t learn anything or get to see the barrel rooms because of private parties. We had a good time but not what we expected. Plus you have to pay for the wine tastings once you get to each vineyard.
HI Ivy, thank you for your feedback, we are glad you had a good time. However if you had read what was included in the tour, we only guarantee 3 vineyards on a saturday, we offer tours from Scottsdale to the Verde Valley Vineyards (we do not have control over the distance), it states very clearly that we do not include the tastings but offer a discount through the tour company. As for the drivers dropping you off at vineyards, that was clearly due to a wine club member party where there barrel room was closed at one of the vineyards and was not accessible to and a wine festival that required us to to just drop you off per the vineyards request. Both of the these events are annual events, had you reached out before scheduling you might have opted for another day. I would recommend that read ads thoroughly before scheduling any tours and if you have additional questions about the tours reach out to the tour company before scheduling the tour.
We had a wonderful time! Kelly was an awesome tour guide who took us to 4 vineyards with great views! Our charcuterie lunch was delicious! Kelly was so nice and never rushed us and took a lot of pics for us too. Such a fun day and highly recommend for a girls trip or any group!
The tour was wonderful. We had the cutest charcuterie and wine picnic set up for us. Unfortunately we had a tire blowout on the bus on our way home which is nobody’s fault, but I wanted to shout out our driver Keith, who handled the situation well and kept us safe.
Kelly was absolutely amazing!! We had the best time wine tasting!!! Well organized, beautiful vineyards, wonderful wine and charcuterie!!
Great time. All four wineries were good and Kelly our guide was fantastic. Her knowledge and charm made the day great.
Me and my friends had the best time. Kelly was Great. She was able to steer us in the right direction of wines and is the best photographer. It came to the point where we want to book another tour just to get her again! Scenery was absolutely beautiful
Neither the driver nor the guide showed up at the meeting point, only when I called did they inform me that the trip was canceled, a very disappointing shame
Please make sure you are reading tour descriptions when booking tours as there are detailed instructions when booking this tour for less than the minimum number of guests for a last minute tour. The tour was not canceled it did not meet the minimum required to take the tour. Please see below instructions: "PLEASE NOTE: There is a minimum number of 4 passengers to ensure the tour will take place. If we haven't reached the minimum number of guests, you will be contacted with options. If you are booking a "last minute" tour for less than 4 guests in the 48 hour cancellation period, please call to confirm we have met the minimum before reserving the tour. " By following the instructions this would have saved you time and frustration.
What a great day trip from Scottsdale to the wineries in the Sedona area! We so enjoyed the upgrade of their "Party Bus." We went to four wineries and had a picnic snack was supplied to us at one of the wineries. We partied up and all the way back to Scottsdale. A must do for a girls day out!
I was very disappointed that we paid for our tasting and still had to pay at winery. I have done alot of tasting and never have I paid. Also, we got a picnic lunch instead of a charcuterie board
We recommend that you read thoroughly not only tour descriptions before booking excursions and or tours. As it states in the second sentence of our ad that you will receive discounts on tastings and bottles of wine and that alcohol is not included. The description the food provided states exactly what you said you received " a picnic with your personal charcuterie of assorted artisan cheeses, salami, fresh fruit, gourmet chocolates and French bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar." Please note what you did receive that was not included. Special accommodations to pick you and your group up at your location, a private tour for the price of a standard tour, extended tour due to traffic and weather conditions, visiting 4 wineries when we only guarantee 3. We take these reviews very seriously and in our investigation we have determined that there was not misrepresentation of what is included in the tour and the tour guide took extra measures to ensure you got the most out of your day. These concerns were not addressed at the time of the tour and your group expressed to her that they had a great day and gave her a gratuity.
Kelly was awesome! She was very accommodating and took great care of us!! The car was nice and clean and she was easy to talk to on the drive.
