A heartwarming experience

I thought it will just be a normal cooking class where we will go to a village then a family will teach us to cook plov. But it's much, much more than that. Our guide, Usmon, took us to his family's home, and his parents, sister, and even aunt & uncle welcomed us very warmly. More than cooking, they showed us their way of life. Usmon took us around their house to show what a usual Uzbek household looks like, brought us to their farm& garden, and showed us a cliffside in the village with a stunning view of the river. This is not something tourists usually get to see or experience. The parents, even without speaking English, clearly expressed and showed us how welcome we are, attended to us, and invited us to return. It's been a lovely and unforgettable experience. Definitely a must-do in Uzbekistan aside from the usual city tour.
