We had great time with our tour guide Anna, who kept contact with us a week before the tour and was very informative. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour of Vienna
I was very excited about this tour. I have always used private guides in other cities and they have always been good. That being said, this tour advertised 5 to 6 hours as a private tour. The tour guide rushed you through saying a lot to see in four hours when I pointed out it was advertised 5 to 6 she slowed down a little. She had no enthusiasm at all. You could see it was just job when in compare it to other guides who loved their country and city and were so happy to help us discover it. Also, we were told that lunch was included. This excursion cost over 300 dollar a person and we were told we could have two drinks and share one lunch. I don’t see how that could be when you pay per person. I think Viator needs to scrutinize and inform their guides a little better. Like I said this was a first that I find their tours are going downhill.
Anja was a fantastic guide and we managed to see and do SO much in our day with her. She went above and beyond, helping us order a delicious lunch at a local market and making lots of great suggestions of things we could do in our time in Vienna. Her knowledge was impressive and she was incredibly pleasant to spend the day with. Do this tour! You will not regret it!

Anna was a fabulous tour guide. She took us to attractions that we probably would have missed on our own. We highly recommend her.
Wonderful experience, our guides Anna and Fernando were fantastic. Anna made history come alive through stories as we toured the city. Our guides were friendly, professional and knowledgeable, making our adventure into the city all the more enjoyable. Excellent communication leading up to the tour, no question was too small. Thank you both for an amazing day! Highly recommend
Great tour with Anna! She was very knowledgeable about the city and its culture and history. She was also attentive to our comfort, walking in shade as much as possible on a blisteringly hot day. As with other Viator activities, it would be less expensive to book directly with the local provider, which I this case was Local Cool Tours.
Anna was an awesome guide that gave us great insight into Austrian and Viennese history. We covered a lot of ground and saw many of the highlights of the city. Our time in Schonbrunn was limited, if I had it to do over again, I would’ve picked a tour where I did that as a separate experience. The ticket for the palace covered on a small area. The tour within the city was all exterior, we did not enter any buildings other than the cathedral. Of course it was a national holiday so many things were also closed. This was a great tour but if I could design it I’d make it longer and I’d include more time in Schonbrunn and more time exploring the city highlights as well.
Thank you very much for your detailed feedback and kind words about Anna — we’re really glad to hear you enjoyed her guidance and insights. Regarding the duration, the tour is carefully designed to suit a wide range of guests, including families and older travelers. Extending it further could make the experience too demanding for many, so we aim to keep a balanced pace that works for most participants. We understand that you may have been comfortable with a longer experience, and we truly appreciate that perspective. We also regret that your visit took place on a national holiday, as this naturally limits access to certain sites. Thank you again for your valuable comments.
We only had one day in Vienna so we wanted to make the best of it and chose a private tour. It was definitely worth it. We saw a lot of Vienna, heard interesting history and had an enjoyable visit with our guide, Anna.
Anna was very good at making us appreciate the wonders of Vienna in a day we enjoyed everything and we enjoyed listening to her good and competent
