Definitely more of a tourist attraction than authentic Wien opera, however we still had a great time. Although, we did buy standing tickets on the day, which as students under nineteen only cost us €19, that made the whole experience a much better value for money in comparison to the outrageously expensive seated tickets which only had a slightly better view. The orchestra and opera singers were fantastic, though the historical costumes were slightly gimmicky. As for the standing area, it was not overly booked which was ideal, and, if you wanted, could sit down on the floor at the back of the room. Overall, worth a visit for the novelty, however, I would not go again.
Awesome performance in a majestic concert hall. The music was also out of its world, what a wonderful way of spending an evening in Vienna!
A fun night in a magnificent setting. We had heard the two opera singers a couple of nights before. And they added a lot too- great interaction. Highly recommended.
The staff and venue were superb. Also, surprisingly, I was upgraded to an upper deck with no extra cost. The venue has an impressive concert room, neo-renaissance design, and a feeling. The orchestra was really good as well. Tripadvisor booking was easy and simple to follow. That was the positive part. Although the concert is rather a tourist show than a music lover's concert. The venue carpets and chair textiles were dirty. The outfit policy did not hold; most of the tourist where in shorts and sneakers. The acoustics of the room are not so impressive. The lights were left on during the concert, which was weird compared to the other concerts. If the lights are on, the focus is withdrawn from the orchestra. For just the first experience of classical music, I would recommend this.
Great music and ambience. Only one limitation for us was that there was no air conditioning at the venue. It was a so warm in the concert hall that it made it less enjoyable.
Wow wow wow What an amazing concert Beautiful scenery, amazing music, and incredible atmosphere. Would highly recommend
Excellent but not fantastic. Female singer a bit weak. Conductor a lot of fun. Good rapport with the audience.
I really enjoyed this experience in Vienna. I’ve never been to a concert like this and wanted to experience something new during my travels.
Unforgettable concert in this magical venue We were very well placed. Tickets picked up at the theater box office There were no difficulties
It was a wonderful experience, although our seats could have been better since we paid for a superior location. We dressed for a truly magical evening, only to find it disheartening that many other guests wore jeans and T-shirts.
Thank you for your review. We are delighted that you had a wonderful experience. We are sorry to hear that your seating did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding attire, our recommended dress code is smart casual. While many guests choose to dress up for the occasion, individual interpretations may vary. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again for another memorable evening.
