Kick off the tour in a must visit Viennese cafe hidden just of Viennas famous shopping street. once home to bohemian thinkers, drinkers, poets and musicians, enjoy a warm apple strudel and the ritual of the cafe.
Rub shoulders with the locals at a Wurstlestand and enjoy an iconic Käserkraner (molten cheese sausage) at Viennas famous stand, loved by Anythony Bordain and locals alike.
At an historic family run restaurant tuck into the ready deal, the original Vienna Schnitzel and a heart Goulash stew with dumplings served with a local family wine spritz

Just by chance we were the only people in our tour. I felt like we got the royal treatment. We could not have asked for a better guide. Elena was very professional, warm, knowledgeable, and great with the kids! It was like walking around with a friend who is showing you her city. Starting with the first tasting, a delicious and beautiful-looking open-faced sandwich, which I would never have found on our own, we were guided at the right pace, with plenty of opportunities to sit down, drink water on a very hot day, use restrooms. It is not something to take for granted based on other food tours we took during our trip. Elena knows the food and the vendors well. She is a cook herself, so can give you insight into how it is prepared. She had plenty of stories to share. We felt very well taken care of, and are very grateful to her for the additional restaurant recommendations she gave us towards the end. It was a great way to spend an afternoon in Vienna.

I love Secret Food tours and always check to see if there is one in cities I visit. Our tour around Vienna with Zoltan was very good. There were 7 of us in the group and everyone was friendly. Zoltan gave us some interesting information about Vienna whilst taking us to some small restaurants and snack bars that I wouldn’t have found on my own.

Elena was a perfect tour guide! She could teach a course. She was prompt, professional, fantastic knowledge of history, very good understanding of architecture, great sense of humor, shared interesting anecdotes, etc. The food was thoughtfully, chosen ahead of time and each had a story behind it. The amount of food was on point. Wasn’t where we were left hungry, and it wasn’t where we were left so full that we felt sick as we were leaving, as we feel on many other tours.
