We wanted to attend classical music performance while visiting Vienna. The Catholic Church was a beautiful venue, and the all women musicians were truly talented. As this was an advent concert, I would have appreciated hearing some Christmas music incorporated into the program. I believe it would have been a wonderful addition to the performance.
I wanted to do a musical event while in the city of music, Vienna. I chose this Advent concert. It was very slow, with only one of the numbers recognizable to me, an American.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the Advent concert did not meet your expectations. Our programs vary greatly from one event to another, with different themes, ensembles, and interpretations—this is our way of ensuring that each concert is unique rather than a daily repeat. To help guests know what to expect, we provide the full program and list of interpreters in a PDF, which is available in the photo section. We regret that the selection was not what you were looking for on this occasion. If you are still in Vienna, we would be delighted to welcome you to one of our upcoming classical concerts featuring works by Weber and Mozart, performed by—among others—two members of the Philharmonic. We would be very happy to offer you a more enjoyable experience.
A marvellous venue & no doubt a talented bunch of musicians. However, the acoustic set up was so poor that we couldn’t clearly hear the music or narrative. We left after half an hour along with several others. Would not recommend.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that the acoustics did not meet your expectations during this performance. We always strive to offer a high-quality musical experience, and we understand how important clarity of sound is. This particular concert featured rare historical instruments, which naturally produce a softer sound than modern instruments. We aim to present a variety of musical styles and ensembles, and each concert can offer a very different experience. We would love the chance to welcome you back. If you are still in town, we have a Mozart and Weber concert tonight featuring our modern ensemble, and you are warmly invited to join us. We hope we can offer you a much more enjoyable experience.
