If you only do one thing in Victoria, make it this walking tour. Our guide Richard (assisted by Noah) were genuinely outstanding — knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about the city in a way that made every block feel like a story worth stopping for. They brought the history of Victoria to life with the kind of detail and warmth you simply can't get from a guidebook. Richard's storytelling had the whole group captivated, and had many suggestions for pubs worth a visit. Noah filled in many gaps along the way. Both were happy to share personal anecdotes and histories. The pacing was perfect, the route and weather was beautiful, and we left feeling like we actually knew the city. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Victoria — ask for Richard or Noah if you can!
Who could give you a better tour than a retired school teacher! Richard was great! Thanks for the great history walk!
Learned about the history of the area and region as well some colorful anecdotes about the people who settled and developed Victoria and environs
Very beautiful tour with Richard! Nice visit with special spots and tips and recommendations.
Richard was very knowledgeable and walked us around the highlights of the city center. Lots of fun facts and great recommendations for places to eat & drink. Would recommend for anyone looking for a highlights tour
Richard provided the best guided walking tour I have ever had in Canada. Knowledge and communication is excellent. Highly recommended.
Absolutely awesome walking tour and highly recommend.
Our guide Richard skillfully led us through the city with a lot of humor. He was also able to tell us many background stories. He had the right balance of explanation at a location and moving forward. One was never stressed to keep up. It quickly became clear that he has lived in Victoria for a long time, as he could also share stories from his youth.
Jayne our guide was very knowledgeable and professional. The length of the walking tour was just perfect.
More standing than walking. Beautiful city and tour guide gave lots of information about settlement of city. It was different than usual description that Victoria tourism has always described the city as a little bit of old England. Guide was very professional and researched facts that were of little interest.
