Verona Underground
Description
Verona Underground is the only and exclusive tour that allows you to discover the Roman origins of the city starting from its underground. This tour includes a guided tour of two underground archaeological areas located in the center of Verona: - the archaeological area of via San Cosimo - the archaeological area of Corte Sgarzerie It is not a simple guided tour, but a real archaeological experience during which, going underground together with the archaeologists who conducted the excavations, it will be possible to closely observe the ancient structures and understand them very clearly.

What a fabulous 1.5 hours spent with two extremely knowledgeable archaeologists. They made the archaeology come to life and you could visualise what was there before. This is a fabulous view into the past with a chance to explore a part of the city from a previous age. The two archaeologists have a deep history with these sites and were able to translate that knowledge in a simple and clear no rush way, with the diagrams and images at the start of the tour making the viewing of the remains of the Capitolium easy to understand. The basement of Palazzo Vimercati was a delight and gave added meaning to the city above the ground. Thank you both for a delightful experience.
