Itinerary
The dome of the Basilica della Salute has characterized the scenario of St Mark's basin in Venice for more than three hundred years, an authoritative testimony of the high spirituality that marked the 17th century in Venice. It was wanted by the Serenissima as a prayer and as thanksgiving to the Virgin Mother of God to preserve the city of Venice from the terrible plague of the 17th century.
Teatro la Fenice: a name, a story. As the phoenix rises from its ashes, so it was for this fantastic theatre risen twice from the flames and water. It has been and is home to numerous premieres of operas by Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi, Stravinsky, and many others.

The tour guide never showed up. We were told to meet at Illy Cafe but they said the tour didn't start there. We tried going to 3 different gondola stations but nobody had our reservation. Totally disappointed. Trying to get a refund but no luck thus far.
Wonderful Gondola ride! Glad we went, but the starting point was difficult for us to find. The starting point, is not the cafe, nor where they load you onto the gondolas. The weather was threatening a storm, so we never got to the Illy Cafe (It's not the gondolas next to the Cafe!). The gondolier and the men working at the loading area were very careful in helping my elderly mother onto the gondola. They took very good care of her. Thank you!
Interesting tour but not in a good way. We did not get what we paid for and what was confirmed. We almost missed the gondola ride because the pick up location was not where it said. Our gondola driver spent a lot of the time arguing with another driver. We paid extra for the coffee/snack part and it didn’t even happen. If you are looking for a low stress activity, this is not it. I guess that it was just good to say that we did it.
Top of ride!! I bought in partners to stay more in account (well more in account) and it was great. Only 2 couples on the tour (me + wife and 1 unknown couple). It was great, as it was possible to enjoy the walk and enjoy the canal.
It was fun! But, it was a bit overpriced for a 25 minute ride. When we went, in April, you could easily walk up and get on a gondola without planning ahead, and almost certainly pay less.
We couldn’t participate in this Gondola exercise and when I asked for help and problem solving nobody was there to help me.
Gondola ride was amazing! Lunch at Illy Cafe was fantastic. The only issue was that the Cafe was not aware that our tour ticket included lunch at their restaurant. Staff quickly figured out what they needed to provide for our lunch, and all went well.
If you go through Venice and don't ride a gondola you weren't in the city something very nice unique experience as it is possible to see from inside a complete city surrounded by water how many beautiful views from the gondola you can see how much history of the city told by the boy who carried the gondola very knowledgeable of the history of the city answered kindly every question I asked him something expensive for so little time but it is worth
We loved the gondola and includes stop for ciffee/snack. It was great We were in italy for family wedding and included venice, so much fun
I don’t know when they raised their prices but expect 90 euros during the day instead of 80. But it was an experience that must be tried in Venice. There wasn’t much commentary or verbal exchange with our gondolier. We chose a gondola on a side bridge vs San Marco plaza. The gondola fit 4 people comfortably. If you are a group of 4 or 6, don’t sign up for a per person tour. Just grab one that is waiting to get the gondola all to yourselves
