Don’t book!

The tour guide spoke broken English and did not engage the crowd. The time of the tour was changed by the tour operator. They said it was due to the holiday. But when we tried to re-book it, it was available at $750! It was a lot of back-and-forth emails.

Scammers- charged for 2 , provided only 1

The title of the tour was basilica and the palace but they only gave us tickets for the palace!! The tour was non refundable and they simply apologized for the misunderstanding. I explained that we paid extra because of basilica being part of the tour. They simply stated they will update their website. No refunds for service they did not provide.

Questionable at best

The agent was late - she was very knowledgeable - however she did not give us a tour of the museum and after we completed that tour of the Doge she took us to a glass shop - which at first seemed cool for the demonstration - however it became very clear that it was mostly a sales pitch to buy the glass items - i didnt agree to that when i purchased tickets - this wasnt sold as a time share pitch - and I would be curious to know if that tour guide was receiving a kick back from the items purchased at the glass store. Furthermore the guy giving the tour made it very clear that glass blowing was not for women to do as we are too weak - well that may be what he thinks but I (a woman) used to jump out of helicopter for a living - so maybe check your audience.

Great tour to skip the...

Great tour to skip the lines to both St. Mark's and Doge's Palace. It was a bit disjointed because this tour allowed people to leave after St. Mark's and then join just for the Doge's Palace. Even though it was a 2 hour tour, a lot of it was spent waiting on people to join the tour and as a result, we felt we were rushed through Doge's Palace.

It was a nice short ride 🇮🇹

It was a nice experience, but gondola is shared with strangers, but still a very short experience, and if you don’t have sealegs I recommend you take some mild motion sickness medicine prior to ride ❤️

Horrible experience. Hard pass on this one.

Horrible overpriced experience. Tour operator failed to provide the correct tickets so we were not able to enter the palace with the group. Had to buy another ticket in my own. Very disappointed with how the tour operator and Viator handled the issue.

Key Venice Landmarks in a Nutshell

St. Mark’s Basilica was absolutely magnificent, and joining a guided tour made the experience so much more meaningful. The historical context and stories brought the basilica to life. A headset was provided, which was great as we could clearly hear the guide throughout the tour. The visit to Doge’s Palace was equally insightful. I would definitely recommend seeing it with a guide, as the explanations about the purpose, significance, and history of each room added so much depth to the experience. The glassmaking demonstration at the end felt a little touristy and wasn’t really the highlight of the day for us. That said, there was no pressure to buy anything, which we appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this tour as it covers all the key highlights and provides valuable historical insight that you would likely miss on your own. Unfortunately, I can’t remember our guide’s name, but she was Italian, incredibly knowledgeable, and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
