Venice is great for sure, but the tour guide did not make it a great experience, lack of basic touristic skills

Poorly organized, the guide is a super nefarious person, just LOUSY. If you work with tourism you must be empathetic, polite. Able to interact and make the cinema pleasurable to people who take it
Great experience and we went on the day of Carnival. Even the Tour Guide said it was the most people he has ever seen in Venice. Buy the plastic boots to cover your shoes, as there will be flooding in many areas, especially St. Marks square. Gondola rides were fun but too short. Long bus ride from Milan. Edie was a good guide and Shepard considering the mass of people. Do this tour when there are no festivals.
It was a wonderful day trip Venice. The city is a must see with so many little areas to explore. Eddie was a wonderful and passionate guide. The free time allowed for the opportunity to explore the wonderful restaurants, shops, and cafes of Venice.
Incredible experience. We had Mario as our guide and he was such a gem! I traveled with my son and felt safe the entire time. Mario have extremely clear instructions along with a map for meeting points & times. 10/10 recommend!
Even the rain couldn’t ruin this experience of Venice. Being picked up at our hotel was really good. Who wants to wonder around a strange city at 6 in the morning trying to get to the right place. We were picked up right at six then dropped off but didn’t know what to do. Nobody else was there. Others started to arrive but no representative from the tour company. Buses arrived but the drivers told us to wait and shut the doors. So we stood outside in the rain. Once the tour person arrived things were organized but perhaps someone needs to be there when people are actually arriving. The tour person who came with us to Venice was very good. She pointed different things out to us. She even gave us her personal number just in case there were any problems. The tour person in Venice was knowledgeable but sometimes hard to keep up with. We needed more time to look and take pictures but she would rush off. Our radios were losing the connection with her and sometimes it was difficult to find her. (The thing she held was not as high as the ones we saw being held up by other tour guides. That added to the difficulty of finding her.). We were told we were lucky it was not as crowded as usual. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to stay together if the normal crowds were there. The guided part ended with the glass factory. By the time we exited she was gone and we were on our own. Being on our own was expected but she was gone before we could even tip her. The first person took over when it was time to return to Milan. It was easy to start off with our hotel pickup but there weren’t any options that could be prearranged to get us back to our hotels. She gave us general directions to the Metro and a taxi stand but it was dark and raining and we were on our own. We never used the Metro and we’re on our phones trying to figure out the.pros and cons of taxis versus Ubers. Also in Milan you can’t flag taxis. But we wanted to tip her and in the confusion at the end we never did. (Probably shouldn’t have given people the option to leave by the back door of the bus.) But loved Venice! The tour people know their stuff. Just a few things could have been better. They do this all the time, but we don’t.
It was an awfully long day a total of 9 hours on the bus, but we got around 5 hours to see and explore, most of it on our own after an initially guided start in St Marks, and then a glass showroom. Plenty of time for lunch and then a good exploration of the island and canals. Guside and driver good and professional.
Long drive 4 hours to Venice and 4 hours back. The guide doesn't even bother to introduce himself. For such a long drive he could talk a little bit about Italy history and point out certain interesting buildings or area as we pass by Milan and Bergamo. Felt like such an easy job for him to get everyone on bus, talk a little about Venice, and walk us through the area a little bit. No what I expected after joining so many different tours. As for Venice, no as exciting. It may be cheaper to just buy a high-speed ticket to Venice and self tour.
