Great Private Tours in Venice- Captivating and Convenient

We spent two nights in Venice, but had only one full day. We began with a two-hour tour of Murano with a private boat and a private guide. Claudia. our guide. was excellent. She helped to make the history of Venice come alive for us and pointed out sights on the trip to and from Murano. The 8-year twin boys loved the boat ride, sitting on the outside bench seat at the rear of the boat. The visit to the glass factory was both educational and enjoyable. All of us were fascinated with seeing how various glass objects were made. After the demonstration, we went to the upstairs showrooms and even the children loved looking at the incredible display of all the incredible items made of glass. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, although we did purchase some items that really appealed to us. When we returned to Piazza San Marco, we joined Denise, our guide for the 4-hour tour with the Doges Palace and the Basilica. Denise was absolutely wonderful. There were 6 of us - 3 adults and 3 children, and she made the tour exciting for all ages, bringing up facts that were especially interesting to the children (8-year-old twin boys and a 12-year old girl). The tour was fun, but we also learned quite a lot as Denise took us through the palace and basilica. It really made a difference to have our own private guide for each tour. First, it was so nice to get admittance to the palace and basilica without standing in long lines. Second, the knowledge and enthusiasm of Claudia and Denise made the tours especially meaningful and fun for all of us. I just wish I could award Private Tours of Venice more than 5 stars!

Summet 2019 Europe vacation

Excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable. We loved the visit to the Jewish Ghetto and museum. HAd a lunch in the nice little restaurant. Visit to Murano is not really tour, it's basically used to get you to buy something. Will not recommend unless you are looking into spending money or really interested in buying something.
