I had the absolute pleasure of taking a guided tour with Koko at Biblioteca Vasconcelos, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip. She shared such rich, fascinating information about the library and thoughtfully walked me through the entire building and garden surrounding it with so much passion and care. Since it was just the two of us, we decided to go on a little side quest together and I’m so grateful we did, because I would have never discovered these places on my own. Koko generously took me around the neighborhood, brought and treated me to an incredible taco spot, El Califa de León (Michelin-recommended!), and even treated me to a refreshing horchata. We also visited two beautiful churches, and she shared insights I never would have known as a regular tourist. More than just a guide, Koko is kind, warm, generous and deeply knowledgeable. I’m truly grateful to have met her. Her generosity, passion, and love for her city made this experience unforgettable. Highly, highly recommended. 🤍
