The Uffizi Gallery is one of the oldest and most famous art museums in the world. It is housed in the Palazzo degli Uffizi which means the "Palace of Offices" in Florence, Italy
The Vasari Corridor is an elevated enclosed passageway in Florence, connecting the Palazzo Vecchio with the Palazzo Pitti. Beginning on the south side of the Palazzo Vecchio, it joins the Uffizi Gallery and leaves on its south side, crossing the Lungarno ofArchibusieri, then following the north bank of the River Arno until it crosses the river at Ponte Vecchio.
The Ponte Vecchio is a medieval stone bridge with closed-spandrel segmental arches that spans the Arno River in Florence. It is famous for the shops built along its length, which include jewelers, art dealers, and souvenir vendors.

THE gallery to start your visit and set the bar. Absolutely stunning artwork, displays, and layout. Go in with the room number/items you’d like to see highlighted so you don’t miss key holdings. The rest are icing on the cake! The Annunciation, Procession of Magi, Botticelli’s Birth of Venus, tons of Michelangelo’s & Caravaggio’s. Then proceed to the Medici’s private Vasari corridor which is also a must-see locale. (Get tickets months prior so as to not be disappointed!) Pure heaven of a gallery visit!
Do not pay a surcharge to visit the Vasari corridor. There is nothing special to see except that the corridor has been renovated... white walls with no paintings. A small section of the corridor contains small busts. Our guide took us through at a brisk pace. Duration of this very short visit? I would say about 10 to 15 minutes.
We also found the corridor a rip off. It may be a place of historic significance but was just a corridor above the Ponte Vecchio which links the Ufizzi to the Pitti Palace - no frescos or art of f any significance. READ THE FINE PRINT - once you go through the corridor, you can’t come back!!! We didn’t realize this, arrived too late to the museum and couldn’t return. One way of getting around this is getting an audio guide which you must return or give up stuff in the cloakroom.
Dear Sir, please cancel your review from our Tripadvisor page. You are not our client, you did the Corridor on your own without a tour guide......this is the result. We ONLY provide guided tours with a real guide, so if you had an audio guide it not us, of course. Our clients live the Medici history in the Corridor and appreciate each single monuments from above Ponte Vecchio and along the River. If you go without a guide and you do not know where you are and the history of it and the characters who crossed it, of course it does not look meaningful to you. But selling tickets without a guide is not our business, as we know the results:))) PLEASE CANCEL THIS REVIEW FROM OUR TRIPADIVOR PAGE. THIS IS NOT US AND WE HAVE A VERY HIGH RATE, AS OUR CLIENTS ALL ARE CHARMED BY OUR MARVELLOUS TOUR!
It was an amazing tour. The corridor is worth seeing and to combine it with Uffizi was incredible. Ingrid our tour guide was so informative and knowledgeable.
Our guide was friendly and gave us so much information about Italian art and history in an interesting and understandable manner.
Do not buy a ticket the Vasari Corridor - it is a 20 minutes walk to see white empty walls, basically more then 1 euro per minute! Absolutely insane! Rather go twice in the Uffizi Gallery or Palazzo Pitti. Much more to see for the same amount of money!
Dear Miss/Mrs/Mr 332sn, this is NOT our tour. You went on your own and did not take our services. Our customers pay much more than 20 euros and have specialized guides. All of them are very satisfied. So please remove this review and post it on the right wall. Have a nice day
Definite five star experience on a private tour with Giacomo! He distilled the key points of the Ufizzi and Vasari corridor into something fun, interesting, and very manageable. Would love to take other tours with him!
Excellent experience. Our guide, Susana, was very professional and knowledgeable. She made our visit much more enjoyable than it would have been on our own.
Thank you, dear Philip
This was a rip off. A slow walk through plain unadorned corridors. There were some nice views of the Arno and a window into a church. There were no statues or anything in the corridor itself. For €20, it wasn't worth the time or money.
Dear Sir or Madam, please write this review on the appropriate tour. We do not sell tickets of the Vasari Corridor, we sell PRIVATE TOURS OF UFFIZI AND VASARI CORRIDOR. This is not us. We know very well that for the visit of the Vasari corridor it is important to have a tour guide, otherwise you cannot understand the meaning anf function of it. Exactly what happened to you. So please cancel this review, as it is not us
Laughably bad. All the paintings have been removed. It’s a bare corridor with views - that’s it. Very expensive and disappointing
Dear Madam, you did not have a tour with us. Without a guide it is hard to appreciate the meaning of the Vasari Corridor, this is why we give tour inside it. Pls remove this review and post it on the right page. It is not us. Thank you
