Itinerary
In a modern, air-conditioned vehicle, accompanied by a bilingual local guide and a professional driver, your tour starts from 8 am. (the pick-up time will be informed the day before the service, before 9:00 p.m.). Once all the participants have gathered, we will go to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar along Route 69 for around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
You will stop in front of the Fonk Museum, in the heart of the city of Viña del Mar, together with the guide, to observe closely one of the few Moai that remain outside of Easter Island. It has already been confirmed that this solitary Moai will soon be returned to the island of Rapa Nui... you can't miss it.
You will be able to photograph yourself in the famous Flower Clock of Viña del Mar. This is a gardened clock, symbol of the city, which is located at the foot of the Castillo hill, in front of the Caleta Abarca spa.
You will stop for a moment on this beautiful avenue that runs along the Viña del Mar waterfront, where you can appreciate the Pacific Ocean in all its splendor, as well as the buildings that surround the boardwalk, such as the Presidential Summer Palace and the castle Wulff.
Caleta Portales is a typical place in Valparaiso. Along with the guide, you will tour this fishing terminal and you will be able to observe in situ the bustling activity of the artisanal fishermen and the stalls selling fish and shellfish. You will also be able to see and photograph birds such as pelicans and seagulls and meet the sea lions that abound in this place.
Declared a typical zone of the country, the Plaza Sotomayor will concentrate your attention since the Armada de Chile building (declared a historical monument) and a statue to the greatest Chilean naval hero (Arturo Prat) are located there.
With a striking architecture that represents German and English settlers who once inhabited this neighborhood (from the beginning of the 19th century), Cerro Alegre is a heritage neighborhood of the city that you can explore on a walk of about 1 hour. The guide will be in charge of showing you the most incredible trails, full of mural art and curiosities, as well as beautiful viewpoints towards the Pacific Ocean
Another of the most visited places in Valparaiso is Cerro Concepcion (previously called Cerro de Nuestra Señora de la Concepción). Inside the hill, the viewpoints with spectacular views of the bay stand out, such as those of the Pierre Loty, Atkinson and Gervasoni promenades.
Viewpoint walk nestled in the Alegre hill, from which you can see all of Valparaiso
Located in the heart of Cerro Alegre, the Pasaje Bavestrello is one of the most interesting buildings in the port of Valparaíso. This is a small part that passes through a singular construction. It was built in 1926 and is accessed through Urriola Leighton Street, located a few steps from the Baburizza Palace on Cerro Concepción.
Building built in 1916 and home to the municipal museum of Valparaiso, it is an unmissable place that you can meet with the guide on our tour of the city.
Located on Cerro Concepcion, it was built in 1902 and is part of the old town of Valparaiso (UNESCO heritage). It is currently still in operation and you can climb on it to descend to the city map.
You will arrive in this beautiful valley, internationally recognized for its excellent wine production, to experience an exquisite wine tasting (included in the price of the tour) in a beautiful local vineyard. You can also learn about Chilean wine with the expert guide.

We had considered staying in Valparaiso and decided instead to stay in Santiago and take a day tour. This one was perfect - it ended up just being the two of us, Julio picked us up at our hotel at 8am and drove us down to Valparaiso for a 90-min walk around the historic part of town. Since we were two younger people he was happy to walk with us and took us on some extra loops to see different parts of the town. So beautiful despite the grey weather, Valparaiso is a beautiful but a little gritty seaside town - don’t expect perfect beauty! Julio had switched up the order of the tour for us considering that it was a Sunday and there were some political happenings to make sure we were doing things at the safest time of day. Later, when a part of the coast road was closed for a fun run he was able to quickly offer some great alternatives to us. After a leisurely stop for a lovely lunch we drove partway back to Santiago for the winery stop. This was truly excellent and we bought several bottles to drink later. Would 100% recommend this to anyone, such an expert guide can take great care of you and offer a customized day that lets you see and learn so much more than you could by yourself!
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We’re delighted to hear that choosing a day trip from Santiago turned out to be a great way for you to experience Valparaíso. One of the advantages of a small-group tour is the flexibility to adapt the day to local conditions, and we’re glad Julio, our guide, was able to make adjustments that enhanced your experience. It’s also wonderful to know you enjoyed exploring the city on foot, discovering different corners of Valparaíso, and ending the day with a visit to the Casablanca Valley winery. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are pleased that your day on the Chilean coast was both enjoyable and memorable.
Excellent tour. Pick up was timely. Route to destination was long but scenery. The views to mountains and the Pacific were gorgeous. Both, Viña & Valparaiso, while different, were beautiful and picturesque. We had dinner in Valparaiso and it was excellent. The last stop was a wine tasting and it was not disappointing. Don’t hesitate booking this tour.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad the day outside Santiago offered a good mix of scenery and coastal highlights, and that the differences between Viña del Mar and Valparaíso stood out. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the meal in Valparaíso and the final stop in Casablanca. We appreciate your recommendation and your time with us.
This is an incredible experience you don’t want to miss. The view of the Pacific Ocean, the coastline of Viña del Mar and Valparaíso were breathtaking. Walking down the streets of Valparaíso helped us get a feel of the place. There is so much art everywhere! We saw Pablo Neruda’s house! We had a delicious lunch at a wonderful restaurant suggested by our incredible tour guide, Julio. He is very knowledgeable about Chile and all the places we visited today. Our tour ended with a visit and a wine tasting at RE winery in Casablanca! We highly recommend this tour!
Thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed the Valparaíso, Viña del Mar & Casablanca Day Trip from Santiago and the variety of landscapes and experiences throughout the day—from the coastal views to walking through Valparaíso’s streets. It’s great to hear that Julio’s guidance and recommendations, including lunch and the winery visit in Casablanca Valley, added to the experience. We appreciate your recommendation and your visit with us.
The tour with Nelson and Luciano was excellent, throughout the journey he was giving valuable information and when traveling with elderly people he had a lot of patience
Our guide was very accommodating! The weather turned out to be cold and rainy, and we were ill prepared...so he kindly dropped us at Ripley's so we could purchase fleece tracksuits, even though it meant he had to fight traffic. He recommended a fantastic place for lunch. As for Vina del Mar and Valparaiso...I wasn't thrilled by either. Unfortunately the weather prevented us from walking the beach and Valparaiso was simply gritty and not that interesting. At the end of the day, not worth the money nor the long drive.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that your guide was accommodating and supportive, especially given the unexpected weather conditions. Flexibility is an important part of our Valparaíso, Viña del Mar & Casablanca Day Trip from Santiago, and we’re pleased that the assistance and lunch recommendation helped make the day more comfortable. At the same time, we understand that weather can strongly influence the overall experience, particularly in coastal destinations like Valparaíso and Viña del Mar. We appreciate your perspective and your comments, as they help us continue refining our tours.
Valparaiso is a city full of Inca culture, colorful houses, made with clay and zinc leaves, on top of the hill, but there is water, sewer, cell phone tower, the garbage is removed normally, even being at the top of the mountain.
Julio was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Chile and specifically Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar. We had a lovely full day with a seaside lunch in Vina Del Mar and ending with a wine tasting at Emiliana Organic Vineyard. Highly recommend!

The tour visits Vina Del Mar the beach city and also Valparaiso. having visited here before I found the review of Valparaiso most interesting. Valparaiso is an old and new port city in Chile that is being gentrified.
Thank you for sharing your feedback on our Valparaíso, Viña del Mar & Casablanca Day Trip from Santiago. We’re glad you found the visit to Valparaíso interesting, especially its unique mix of historic port areas and evolving neighborhoods. Exploring the contrast between colorful Valparaíso and the coastal city of Viña del Mar is an important part of this experience. We appreciate you joining the tour.

Valparaiso is not terribly exciting. I know there is history there, however I would have preferred walking around Santiago more so. The stop off at the winery was a blast though.
