Itinerary
Begin your journey with a convenient pick-up from your hotel or AirBnB in Santiago, and set off towards the coast. As we drive, you'll pass through the lush, fertile valleys of Curacaví and Casablanca, known for their beautiful landscapes and rich agricultural heritage.
Upon arriving in Valparaíso, we'll begin exploring the vibrant, street art-adorned alleyways. Our first stop will be Paseo 21 de Mayo, also known as Artillería, where you'll enjoy one of the best views of Valparaíso's iconic harbor.
After taking in the stunning views of the harbor, we'll descend to Plaza Sotomayor, Valparaíso's historic main square, rich with European architecture. Here, you'll admire the impressive Naval Headquarters building and the monument honoring Arturo Prat, one of Chile's most celebrated national heroes.
Now it's time to explore the winding streets of Cerro Alegre, where you'll encounter remarkable murals by renowned Chilean and international artists. You'll also have the chance to view more of their work at local art galleries. Of course, no visit is complete without a stroll along Paseo Yugoslavo, a charming promenade lined with beautiful alleyways and dominated by the imposing Museum of Fine Arts.
After exploring Cerro Alegre, we'll head to the nearby neighborhood of Cerro Concepción, where you'll admire the colorful houses built by British and German immigrants in the late 19th century. Here, you'll also visit other charming promenades, such as Atkinson and Dimalow.
Before we head to the city of Viña del Mar, you'll have time to savor local cuisine at one of the cozy cafés or restaurants in the area (at your own expense).
Now, it's time to visit one of the main landmarks of Viña del Mar: the iconic Flower Clock, built in 1962 to beautify the city for that year’s World Cup. We'll make a brief stop for a photo opportunity.
Before heading back to Santiago, we'll take a walk along the shore of Acapulco Beach, enjoying views of the Viña del Mar Casino, the first casino in Chile. We'll also visit the Fonck Museum to see an original Moai, brought directly from Rapa Nui (Easter Island) in 1951.
After a magnificent day exploring the cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, it will be time to head back to Santiago, where you'll be conveniently dropped off at your hotel.

Pick-up is included from addresses within Santiago’s urban area, specifically in Santiago Centro, Providencia, Vitacura, or Las Condes. If you require pick-up from a location outside these areas — such as a hotel near the airport, the airport itself, or a cruise port like San Antonio or Valparaíso — please let us know in advance. We’ll be happy to customize the tour for you. However, these pick-up points carry an additional cost, due to the extended travel distance and additional logistics involved.

Great day trip to Valparaiso. The guide was excellent and so was the driver. My 12 year old son and I had a fantastic day! The guide did a great job of showing us the highlights and keeping us interested and also made a very good recommendation for lunch. The driver was very good and the van was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this tour!
We had a wonderful private day tour of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar with our guide, Berson and our driver, Andrea. Berson knows a lot about a wide range of topics including the history of Chile, local flora and fauna, foreign languages and politics. On our tour, we spent some time walking through Valparaiso which gave us a lot of opportunities to take photos because the city is so photogenic. We also took a ride on one of the historic funiculars. Afterwards, we were taken to the beautiful city of Viña del Mar and enjoyed the contrast with Valparaiso. Our driver, Andrea, was very thoughtful and considerate as well as a careful and conscientious driver. We highly recommend this tour.
The city is beautiful, and magical. So many gorgeous tiny stores and creative endeavours around, small cafes and nice people. So worth the trip. Our guide Alejandra was absolutely great, friendly and knowledgeable.
The tour to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar was our family's favorite part of our 1 week trip to Chile. José, our guide, was amazing and he personalized the tour to match our group's interests. We loved hearing about the history of the area and José is personable and fun to talk with. He knew all of the best spots for photos and he took great pictures of our family. Cristóbal was our driver and we were amazed at how he expertly navigated the difficult streets of Valparaiso. The van was luxurious and comfortable. We highly recommend this tour and tour company! The next time we come back to Santiago we will book another tour with them.

Did a private tour. Guide Andres and the driver were terrific. Very nice vehicle (not always the case!) for a longish (90 min) drive to and from Santiago. Highly recommend.

I’m glad you enjoyed that contrast — it’s one of my favorite parts of that day trip. Our family of 5, ranging from our 59 to 98, had a 2nd beautiful experience on this tour with Franco, our guide, and Nico, our driver. ((They were our guides through Santiago the day before and we were thrilled to have a 2nd day with them.) They worked together seamlessly, taking us so many places, explaining the history and culture of the region. We asked for a scenic lunch opportunity and they truly delivered. We all enjoyed lunch together as well as every moment of our multi-hour tour. They were such gracious and helpful gentlemen, and we felt very safe and blessed to have them show us around. This was an amazing tour, Julio and Andres were great tour guide and driver. The tour was exactly what we wanted Valparaiso spots were perfect and Andres was flexible letting us shop when we wanted, and when we wanted to see sea lions he made sure to get us right to them. Vanessa was a great guide. We loved Valparaiso. Sensory overload. So much to see. From a scheduling point of view, we could have done without the visit to Viña Del Mar and lunched in Valparaiso, then returned to Santiago. Still, it was most worth it.
