Lots of good history!! My tour guide, Jack Kelly, was extremely knowledgable about the history of the Yorktown and he was very animated in telling us about the ghost stories!
The tour was phenomenal. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and funny! Very interactive and some cool spooky experiences! I even got a picture and it looks like someone is there! 10/10!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience!
Thad (or Tad?) was a fantastic tour guide! He was a wealth of knowledge, funny, and kept the group engaged. My husband and I had a great time.
We are so glad to hear you enjoyed Tad's tour!
It was great to experience a ship like this. It was more historical than scary. Although my kids did get spooked at one point. Either way the guide was very knowledgeable and we had a good time.
We appreciate your feedback. Glad to hear y'all had a great time!
This was great after hours tour. We have plenty of time to drop our conference bags, grab a snack, and Uber to the Yorktown without rushing. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. The ghosts did not make an appearance, but we did see the proof. And it was a lot of fun to be the only ones onboard.
We are glad to hear y'all had such a great experience!
That's it's not climate controlled and there are a lot of steps through the doorways to be mindful of. We had a great experience. Jack was our guide and he was great. Very informative and a great storyteller. Answered all the questions that anyone asked him. We really enjoyed all of this experience.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Greg!
We thoroughly enjoyed touring and learning about the USS Yorktown and her crew.. Climbing up to the flight deck where we saw the planes on top and the nighttime views of Charleston was a memorable experience! Our guide, Alben, was personable, informative, and clearly loves his job! Highly recommend.
Thanks for the recommendation and kind words about Alben!
Amazing tour!! It was incredible to see all the planes and hear all the details !!
We are so glad to hear you had an amazing time!
Overall the experience was good. It was an awesome way to see some of the ship and learn about some of its really cool history. The “ghost” portion didn’t disappoint either. Our tour guide was cool, he told us plenty of stories and shares some awesome pictures and interaction stories that other guests had experienced. He warned the group as well that the ladies were usually the ones who had the interactions, as the ghosts were all male sailors. My wife got touched twice during the tour. Once by the bunk of the first casualty on board and the second time was by the burn unit area. Overall excellent experience and would do it again.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Daniel! Sounds like a spooky evening!
Tate did a great job with his story telling of the ship and history of it. He really has an excitement for sharing what he knows and talks about it with enthusiasm. It was fun. He did a great job!!
We are so glad to hear y'all had a great time on Tad's tour!
