Itinerary
Lake Titicaca is located between Peru and Bolivia. It is the highest navigable lake in the world; you will sail around its waters.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno's historic center between 6:45 and 7:00 AM. Before boarding the motorboat to the Uros Islands, we will make a brief stop at the dock where you can purchase snacks and bottled water. Once on board, our guide will introduce himself and the boat captain before giving you an overview of the itinerary on Lake Titicaca. Our first stop will be the floating islands of Uros. During the journey, you will see totora reeds growing on the lake. When the boat docks, the island chief will demonstrate how the islands are constructed from totora reeds and share a few words in Aymara. The locals are known for their handicrafts, which you will have the opportunity to purchase. You will then have the option to take a totora reed boat (15 Soles) to the main island of Uros and have your passport stamped as a souvenir. From here, we will begin our boat trip to Taquile Island. You can walk to the upper deck of the boat and take photos of the floating islands.
On Lake Titicaca lies Taquile Island, where local villagers have created a thriving industry of woven handicrafts, primarily crafted by the men of the community. Taquile is home to a Quechua population of 2,000 people, who are mainly farmers, fishermen, and renowned weavers. Contrary to the traditional view of weaving as women's domain, on Taquile, it is the men who perform much of the delicate work with the thread. We will also be invited to watch and dance with the local villagers, performing their traditional dances. Afterward, we will continue our walk to a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, around 2:30 PM, you will board the boat back to Puno. At approximately 4:30 PM, the boat will dock at the Puno pier, where we will meet you and transfer you back to your hotel in the city's historic center.

This tour was a great way to experience the wonderful sights of Lake Titicaca, especially from Taquile. Seeing the floating islands and hearing the presentation those living there gave about their lives was also very cool. However, note that the tour boat's bathrooms are not the best, and that the included lunch, while good, did not have a large range of options.
Well organized tour. Giovanni was an excellent guide who explained all very well. The Uros Islands presentation and visit was informative. The Taquile Island visit was amazing and lunch was very good. The toilet in the fast boat was very basic but at least there was a toilet!
Beautiful discovery of the Uros islands, the inhabitants, and their way of life. A bit disappointed by the visit to Taquile. A lot of boat time for a brief crossing of the island.
The tour was fantastic! Beautiful places and the guys are prepared to explain all the things. I loved the experience.
It’s awesome! Even the owner can not speak in English, she still try to use google translate to communicate!
Nice tour, a bit difficult for the climb of Taquile. Altitude 4000m and very steep path. Always too many things to stall in a day, we do more transport than visit. Our guide Giovani was very pleasant and attentive.
It was a unique experience, the food, the places we visited, the knowledge about the uses and customs of the local people, the demonstrations of the looms, the dances, made our day an unforgettable experience, our guide Samuel has in great knowledge of the local customs as well as a wide command of different languages which made the visit very pleasurable, I would take the tour again with this excellent company and with your guide Samuel
The guide samuel the Best guide in Taquile was wonderful and your typical boat mercedes benz
Today I had the chance to visit the Uros floating islands and Taquile Island, and it was a lovely experience. The first part of the tour was nice, but the real highlight for me was definitely Taquile—the scenery there is beautiful. Of course, as is typical with these tours, they do try to push you to spend a bit of extra money here and there, but the tour is excellent value for money and the quality was more than satisfying for what we paid. The guide was incredibly kind and helpful, and the lunch was delicious. It’s a well-paced day trip, not too long, and overall definitely worth doing!
Tours recommended, very nice experience.
