good studio tour because we were vip fun rides like jurassic park and great nice guide
This is a must do. My favourite thing was the universal studios tour. You take in a 60-90 minute tour of where some majorly iconic films and programs are made. The attention to details throughout the park is amazing and every detail is thought of. There are only a few rides and there is a big push for the VIP or queue jump passes which are very expensive. The fast and furious ride got up to a 3 hour wait. The others were more manageable. The food provided in the park is what you’d expect from a theme park and was in my opinion expensive for what you get. A smaller park with only a few rides so not the best for extreme thrill seekers but a thoroughly enjoyable day out.
Waited 80 minutes in line for the Mario Kart ride and all 3 of us were extremely disappointed at how awful it was. Not sure why so many people gush about that attraction. It was like playing a boring, pointless video game for a few minutes. The sweltering heat makes it less and less enjoyable visiting amusement parks in the summer. I regretted not doing the studio tour. Maybe that would have made the experience more enjoyable. The rides themselves are not worth the price and wait times. Food options are poor too.
At Fast and Furious It took 4 hours until it was our turn. We were not informed in advance that the line would take a very long time. If I had known beforehand, I would NEVER have participated in the ride. I often spoke to those responsible and asked why everything is unclear. IT IS NOT WORTH participating in the ride.
The children had a great day. Despite summer, it was not too crowded. Wait times max 50 min. The drop off at the Frankenstein parking is great. We were able to drop off our children there and pick them up again in the evening. Great park, very clean..
Fun time at Universal Studios Hollywood! So much to see and do there. Would def add this to your must do’s when in California.
It would be very helpful to have clear signs showing where the free water refill stations are located. I also think there should be more refill stations throughout the area. I purchased a refillable cup, but unfortunately, finding a place to refill it was quite difficult and inconvenient. Having more clearly marked refill stations would make the experience much easier and more enjoyable for guests
The lines for the rudes are way to long, most of them over an hour in the heat and many times without any shade. The good is expensive and not the best tasting. The restaurants were really busy and extremely dirty. The floor where so sticky and wet. I bought the refillable soda cup and most of the soda stations had no ice, and some didn't even have water. Some of the rides are nice but some are outdated. I wouldn't recommend the park to any friends and family. Staff are probably doing what they can but it's just imposible for them to keep up with the amount of people in the park. I belive universal studios should have some Kind of reservation system to help prevent the park to be as over crowded.
Lovely park but the rides queues are about 45 mins to 2 hours for most rides at certain times of the day , Mario is the hardest to get on as our kids wouldn’t queue for 90 - 120 min. I recommend The Simpsons and secret life of pets, Despicable Me. Jurassic Park and fast and furious is unbelievable and the best rides! Never got to go on Mario due to waiting for other rides. Harry Potter - I would not bother with olivanders as only one child gets chosen and the other families have to watch one lucky child, in our case the child chosen couldn’t understand English and their translator was next to useless. The Park feels quite small but the shops have a lot to buy, Krusty burger was a nightmare took way too long to get food.
Universal Studios Hollywood manages to combine fun and cinema in a unique way. The attractions are immersive and detailed, but the real added value is the Studio Tour, which allows you to peek behind the scenes of one of the cinema capitals. An intense day, full of emotions and perfect for all ages.
