We will take a relaxed 2.5-hour walk along the fortress wall, passing impressive gates, pavilions, and towers. This is not a challenging mountain trek, but there are uphill paths and stairs, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Along the way, I will share engaging stories about the fortress, while also pointing out the best photo spots. To finish our adventure, we’ll enjoy a K-food with makgeolli. It was amazing this tour, Soya is an amazing guide, she told me about the history of Korea, the traditions, the typical food (I ate Korean style fried chicken), we went to the market to buy a delicious dessert (some like flower-shaped bread rolls) and accompanied me to the Train back (you can use the blue line of the subway. Take advantage and before returning, go to Sowon’s amazing library in Starfield (you are already 1 train station away from seeing an amazing spot for your photos). Everything was wonderful, thank you very much Soya!

My husband, daughter and myself had a personal tour with Susu. Susu was an outstanding tour guide who spoke English. We hiked around the UNESCO Suwon Hwaseong Fortress wall. The hike went for approximately 4 hours. Suwon was so friendly and accommodating of our interests. She answered all of our questions and provided so much insight into the culture and history of Suwon. We had authentic Korean snacks along the journey which tasted amazing. As a bonus we also tried our hand at archery. The tour culminated with an authentic Korean lunch that was absolutely delicious. Thanks Suwon for the amazing experience and memories.

The guide was super nice and explained everything really well. Meeting at Suwon Station made it super easy, and since it was a mix of hiking and walking, it wasn’t too tough. Plus, it’s so close to Seoul, so I’d totally recommend checking out the Suwon Fortress hike.
