Itinerary
Our journey begins with a street-side snack and a cold beer to enjoy en route to Siem Reap’s most vibrant street food road.
We then head out towards Angkor Wat where we will stop and immerse in the exotic flavors of tropical fruits and, for the adventurous, sample some unusual delicacies at a local street food street.
We then head to our favorite family-run roadside stall to savor two quintessential Cambodian dishes, a perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy.
Next, we venture down a hidden back street to our tuk-tuk driver’s top pick, where you’ll taste a unique dish found only in Cambodia. This is one you have probably never tried!
As we make our way back into town, we stop at a bustling street-side stall, on the path in front of a local pagoda, just as they are setting up for the late-night crowd. Here, we’ll try two signature dishes that have earned this spot its stellar reputation.
Our journey continues to the heart of tourist town, where we’ll introduce you to a popular local stall known for its mouthwatering, smoky pork ribs served riverside.
For our final culinary delight, we head to a lively back street resto filled with locals, where we’ll indulge in succulent seafood with our famous Kampot pepper.
Conclude our evening in a hidden garden oasis, sipping on a creative cocktail or mocktail inspired by local Cambodian flavors. Choose to stay and enjoy more drinks, explore the vibrant pub street, visit our favorite speakeasy, or return to your accommodation, richer in knowledge of not only Cambo cuisine, but also history, culture and everyday life.

Absolutely wonderful- great value for money and a good way to indulge in Cambodian food with local tour guide. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much for your lovely review and we are so happy you had a great time!! Loads of love, Team Urban Forage Food & Art Tours
Our tour started with a tranquil gondola trip on the lovely lake outside Angkor with Sarath. It then went up a gear as we headed to a night market by Tuk Tuk where we sampled excellent street food navigated with enthusiasm by Sarath. From there we went to a number of local restaurants serving a variety of dishes introduced with gusto by our guide Sarath. Our tour ended at the splendid Wild cocktail bar, a lovely venue with drinks to match. All the while Sarath imparted her take on Cambodian life with a level of sparkling enthusiasm which we won’t forget.

Our progressive degustation experience in Siem Reap with Urban Forage was nothing short of exceptional. The “mystery tour” concept made the night even more exciting — we loved not knowing where we were going next and being continually surprised. From the moment we started, we were treated like VIPs. Each venue offered something completely different, showcasing a range of incredible flavours and settings that we never would have discovered on our own. What really stood out was that the venues were carefully chosen not just for their food, but for their “do good” purpose supporting local communities. It made the whole experience feel even more meaningful. The attention to detail and seamless organisation made the evening feel effortless and special. This experience went above and beyond every expectation and is the perfect way to explore Siem Reap’s food scene in a unique, thoughtful, and memorable way. Highly recommend to anyone wanting something a bit special.

I booked a midweek food tour as a solo traveller and it was the best decision I made. I was the only one on the tour so my guide Rorm made sure to tailor the experience and really brought the food to life with passion and stories behind each dish. My Tuktuk driver was also incredibly kind, informative and helpful making it even more fun. We tried a variety of dishes, I was appreciative of the amount of food and knowledge of Khmer culture and experience. I felt welcome even as a barang…. Great value for money and I’d highly recommend to those solo travelling or in groups.
Thank you so much and we love showing Solo travellers around, it means you get to try so much more than if you just went solo to a restaruant! So gald you had a lovely time and thank you again! Loads of love, Team Urban Forage Food & Art Tours
Our guide Rorm was great. So kind and knowledgeable about the culture and food. He took some detours to give us a special experience. The highlight was trying durian and stuffed frog. The food was plentiful and interesting and the tuk tuk was very fun.

I've done food tours in at least 10 other countries before and nothing comes close to the range of food and the experience on this tour. Come with an empty stomach and a (very) open mind and you will not be disappointed (no spoilers lol). Hong was a fantastic 10/10 guide, knowledgeable and immensely passionate about her culture and eating - exactly the energy this kind of tour needs.
WOWWWWWWW thank you so much foryour super kind words, they mean the absolute world to us. We are so glad you had a fab time!!! Loads of love, Team Urban Forage Food & Art Tours
This food tour takes you to off the beaten path eateries, where you will eat like a local. I loved the diversity of the dishes and our guide, Leah’s pleasant and well-informed commentary. We had a great night out.

Thank you for your lovely review, thank you also for recommending us, it means the world to us! loads of love, Team Urban Forage Food and Art Tours
Our guide, Sarath, was fun and informative. But as far as the food stops go, I’m not so sure. It wasn’t even the food as much as the sanitary conditions that the food was prepared in. Be aware, if you book this excursion. It’s not for the faint of heart. Be aware. I am pretty open when it comes to strange food, but this was too much. Maybe a warning to some of the food that will be experienced should be noted in the description of the tout
Hi Richard, Thank you so much for your review and feedback and we are so glad you found the tour fun and informative. We are so sorry that you found some of the tastes a little challenging, however please note that we ensure they are prepared in sanitary conditions and we ensure the hygiene of all the stops. We have never had any problems in terms of hygiene in our 13 years operating. We do like to include some of the more unusual foods if anyone would like to try, such as insects, as they are an important part of our everyday diet ehre in Cambodia. Having said that, they are always optional. If people want to try, that is great, if they don't want to try that is also great and if they try something and don't like it we encourage them to give it back, no one will take any offense. We also ensure there is enough 'easy' food stops to ensure no one goes hungry and gets a wide range of different food. Thanks again for your feedback and we hope you had an amazing rest of your stay!
