Description
Get off the mainland and out of your comfort zone with this short break package to the Yasawa Islands where you get to snorkel with reef sharks! Get up close and personal with reef sharks in their natural environment. Don't panic, they are pretty docile Fijian sharks and you will have a guide with you for the duration. Overnight at this scenic resort at the bottom of the Yasawa Islands which is surrounded by impressive volcanic peaks. Make the effort to hike to the summit to watch the sun set, it is worthwhile!

Pickup Locations & Times
Departing Port Denarau Marina daily at 8:45am, you must double-check your coach transfer pick-up time and failure to do so will result in you missing your tour. Please note that the departure time shown on your tour is the VESSEL DEPARTURE TIME FROM PORT DEANRAU, NOT YOUR COACH PICK UP TIME. If you require a hotel pick up, please select your hotel from the list of pick-up points in your booking process. All coach transfers must be pre-booked with our Reservations office at least the day before your tour by phoning our Call Center. The coach pickups commence approximately 75minutes before the vessel departs from Port Denarau. Please check with our reservations team for your coach pickup time or refer to the South Sea Cruises coach timetable on our website for more info.

- Travel Insurance: There are very limited medical facilities in the Yasawas so if any medical problem arises your customers will very likely need to return to Nadi. If your clients develop a serious medical problem your clients will most likely want to leave Fiji for Australia, New Zealand, or home. There is also a higher degree of risk in public areas, on local vessels, etc. Sea conditions and sometimes cyclones can prevent travel on the booked dates as well. It is, therefore, an essential condition of travelling with Awesome Adventures Fiji that your customers have a valid travel insurance policy to cover the cost of any emergency medical treatment or accident and to protect your clients' holiday payments in the event of cancellation and/or delays.

the trip was really great, although the staff on the island were confused who we booked through, it was worth the money!! everything was already organised and didn’t have to book things like the snorkelling trip or accommodation which was great!
It was a beautiful trip and we had a wonderful time at the Barefoot Kuata Resort. The staff were so welcoming and gave is plenty of entertainment. We got to the island at 10.45 not knowing that both guided snorkelling sesssions for that day started at 8am and 11am. We were welcomed by staff and shown a video about the bull shark diving. So we missed the guided snorkelling for that day but told we could do it at 8am the next day. We were given two different dorm rooms and told there was no room to be put together, so we paid 278 FJD to be upgraded to a double garden room. The island is beautiful and there is some lovely walks you can do on it. The resort itself is gorgeous too. We had a night of heavy rain so not much activity but still had a lovely time.
I did the ultimate encounter overnight stay. And OMG it was the best part about my holiday. I was short on time, so didn’t have lots of time for beach hopping, hence my choice to do the Ultimate Encounter. See review for Barefoot Kuata. Loved this. But the actual reef shark encounter 10/10 We booked in for a time that suited, I chose 9am on the Friday morning. We met at the dive shop, and got sorted for fins and snorkels, then went to the boat, about 20mins on the boat and we arrived at our location. I tend to get sea sick, but this was absolutely fine, no unnecessary shark feeding. The water was absolutely crystal clear. There was thousands of little fish. And about 6-8 reef sharks for our snorkel. They were so placid and just swam in and around us. It was mind blowing. I just used my phone with a waterproof case, it was perfect. As only about 1mtr deep. Everything on my Ultimate Encounter went smoothly from the transfer to and from the hotel. They even went above and beyond to drop me to another hotel on return. Incredible value for money.
