The Uffizi Gallery is one of the main attractions when visiting Florence. Built in 1560 and known as the world's oldest museum, it was designed by the famous Renaissance architect Giorgio Vasari. The grand duke of Tuscany, Cosimo I de Medici, decided to re-establish the authority of the Medici family. - No vehicle transportation is necessary from the meeting point to the gallery because the points are within walking distance of each other, and the guide will lead your group there.
- Visitors must pass through metal detectors at the security checkpoint. Please expect to wait 10–15 minutes to clear security.
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Uffizi Gallery.
- Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers’ full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the attraction.

Lines were very long (45 minutes)… even with the “skip the line”. After the wait, our guide seemed rushed and it was crowded inside. The guided portion was supposed to be 1 hour and 30 minutes, but was much closer to an hour. We walked around for another hour after guided moved on. The place is good, just a middling experience that day.

Beautiful gallery but our guide was a bit hard to understand. I think we probably could have just done this on our own. Not sure I would do it again unless the guide had better English. Was hard to understand him.
We got to see the development from medieval art to renaissance art and got to see works by masters including Michaelanglo, Da Vinci, Bottoliceli and Raphael. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging.

Our guide was difficult to follow as she provided an endless emotionless rendition of facts, jumping from one thought to another, on the same painting or statue, with little focus on what point she was trying to make. There were few pauses in what was a barrage of rapid fire rote. It was not worth the cost or time lost that we spent with her. On a positive note, the Uffizi is worth a visit.

Wonderful tour led by Gayla who was both informative and fun. She knew the facts but also interspersed with interesting anecdotes. She was able to deftly move us quickly through the highlights and navigate past the huge crowds. It was a small group which was perfect! I highly recommend.

Our guide Katarina was fabulous. An absolute encyclopedia! Loved the experience. She is also extremely helpful and kind. Even though it took her a lot more time to go all the way around just for us, she made sure we were able to use the elevator since one in our family has mobility issues. Thank you Katarina
