Itinerary
Please come to our Air-conditioned office before 15 minutes start the activity. We will check in you and gather the group at the office and take in to the first location of the Tour, Accademia Gallery
You will see the Original David's statue and many valuable paintings and musical instruments.
The heart of Florence lies within the Piazza del Duomo, anchored by its stunning cathedral. The baptistery's famous bronze doors are known as the "Gate of Paradise," while the cathedral itself boasts what was, upon its completion in the 1400s, the largest masonry dome ever built.
Orsanmichele perfectly illustrates the fusion of commerce and faith in Florence. This monumental structure was initially a covered ancient grain market and is now celebrated for the stunning Renaissance statues that adorn its exterior, turning a place of trade into a gallery of masterworks.
Piazza della Repubblica stands as the true, ancient heart of Florence. It marks the original site of the Roman Forum and the geographical center of the city, a function still marked today by the Colonna dell'Abbondanza (Column of Abundance).
Stop at the Fontana del Porcellino in the Mercato Nuovo. Visitors test their luck by rubbing the snout of the wild boar statue and letting a coin drop through the grate. If the coin falls through, it's believed to guarantee good fortune and a safe return to the city.
The focal point of civil life, Piazza della Signoria is an unmissable open air gallery. It features a replica of David alongside the massive Palazzo Vecchio, while the Loggia dei Lanzi showcases Renaissance masterpieces like Cellini's Perseus with the Head of Medusa, sculptures that served as powerful political statements for the city's rulers.
As you look out from the Uffizi, you'll see a true marvel of architecture: the Vasari Corridor. This exclusive, private walkway was built for Duke Cosimo I de' Medici, allowing him and his family to move unseen between their government offices in Palazzo Vecchio and their home in the Palazzo Pitti. Your vantage point on the second floor of the Uffizi places you right at the start of its hidden route across the Arno River.
From the windows of the Uffizi's second-floor corridor, you can enjoy a stunning, privileged view of the Ponte Vecchio, the "Old Bridge." This medieval stone bridge, built in 1345, is famous for the shops built right along its length. Originally home to stinky butchers, a decree by Grand Duke Ferdinando I de' Medici in 1593 replaced them with goldsmiths and jewelers to improve the decorum of the area. This tradition endures, making the bridge an iconic, glittering landmark on the Arno River.
This majestic, U-shaped palace was designed by Giorgio Vasari for Cosimo I de’ Medici, the first Grand Duke of Tuscany. It was built starting in 1560 to house the administrative "offices" (uffizi) of Florence. The vast art collection amassed by the powerful Medici family featuring ancient sculptures and Renaissance masterpieces transformed this administrative center into one of the world’s first and finest art museums. This incredible legacy ensured that iconic works by masters like Botticelli, Leonardo, and Michelangelo were protected and preserved for the public forever.

The second part of the tour change instead of going to the Ufizi we were going to go to a palazzo. I ended up cancelling and getting partly money back. Very disappointed for not be able to do the complete tour.
We understand your disappointment regarding the unexpected change to your itinerary, and we are truly sorry that you were unable to experience the Uffizi Gallery during your time in Florence. However, we must firmly clarify that the Uffizi Gallery was forced to close suddenly due to an administrative decision entirely out of our control. Local tour operators have no influence over the opening, closing, or operational decisions made by state museum administrators. When this unexpected closure occurred, our team worked immediately to manage the crisis and take care of our guests. We proactively offered a premium replacement tour to the Pitti Palace (Palazzo Pitti), which is the historic grand residence of the Medici family and holds an incredibly rich, world-class art collection of its own. For the guests who did not wish to take this alternative, we processed partial refunds promptly. We did everything humanly possible to adapt to a sudden government-level closure and protect our clients' interests. Given that we provided an excellent alternative and issued refunds to those who cancelled, we feel a 1-star rating directed at our company for a museum closure we did not cause is unfair. We appreciate your business and stand by our team's swift and professional response to a difficult situation.
Our guide was very good bu the Uffizi was having AC problems and it has been hot further it was overcrowded so really took alot away from the experoiece. Again our guide was trying her best to muscle through it.
Great tour. Our guide, Amanda, was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It was an overall great experience. She gave us great info on a number of the masterpieces, Michelangelo, and the surrounding Florence area. Highly recommend.
Silvia wasn’t excellent, knowledgeable, personable, and would recommend her every time! Worth the $! Request Silvia
Our family was fortunate to have Amanda as our tour guide for Uffizi and Accademia. She was knowledgeable, interesting, and kind. Her related expertise brought the galleries to life for us and made for a memorable day that we will not forget. She was by far the best tour guide during our trip to Italy. All the best from Canada!
Excellent tour - Amanda, our guide, was fabulous ! Her knowledge of art made the tour interesting but not overwhelming for our family :) her pace was excellent and she was such a pleasure to spend a few hours with !
This tour a was well worth the money. There were other similar tours for less money. Iam glad I didn’t go that route to save some money. There were a total of 9 of us in the group so it was a great size. Our Guide, Mirellia, was so personable and knowledgeable about everything Italy and answered all our questions. This tour was almost five hours and we got to go into Accademia. And then walked through the Duoma plaza and then timed entry to the Uffizi. This museum was incredible. So much to see. It was very crowded and I couldn’t imagine going through this on our own. I highly recommend Mirella. She has been doing this job for 33 years. And her passion and joy of her work was evident throughout the tour. She talked to s for the whole time and we learned so much about the Middle ages, the Renaissance and everything about Michelangelo, as well the beautiful churches throughout Lawrence
Thank you so much for this detailed and thoughtful 5 star review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that choosing our tour was well worth the investment and that you had such an incredible, enriching day in Florence. Your point about pricing is a valuable one for fellow travelers. While there are cheaper options available, we intentionally design our experiences to offer premium value keeping our groups small (like your group of 9) and hiring the absolute finest professionals in the field. Navigating the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery when they are crowded can be completely overwhelming on your own, but our small group size and pre arranged reserved tickets ensure you bypass the general admission lines and feel completely taken care of. Mirella is a true legend, and we are incredibly proud to have her on our team! Having 33 years of experience is an amazing milestone, but what makes her truly exceptional is that her passion, energy, and joy for her work shine just as brightly today as they did on day one. From the intricacies of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance to the genius of Michelangelo and the history behind our beautiful churches, Mirella's non stop, engaging narrative turns a five hour tour into an absolute breeze. Thank you for choosing Florence and Global Tours and for recognizing the distinct value of a premium, small group experience. We will be absolutely delighted to share your beautiful words with Mirella to celebrate her incredible dedication. We hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable tour in the future!
Everything about this Ciao Florence tour was top-notch, from check-in at the tour company office, to checks performed in the beginning on our audio headsets to ensure clear communication with no static interference, to our guide Sylvia’s informative walking tour of Accademia, Uffizi, and the historical district of Florence. Sylvia did such a fabulous job of explaining every work of art, every sight with appropriate historical perspective that made a 3-hour walking tour on Renaissance art interesting even for our 12-year old daughter. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see and learn about the main works of art at these museums for the first time.

Small group, very personal service, great tour of Florence highlights and major museums. Our tour guide Stefania was excellent. She taught us so much about each work of Art and spent time giving us extra time to take pictures and ask questions. She provided us with great information and conversation and we learned a lot about Florence and its history. Highly recommend this tour and Stefania as a guide.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this wonderful 5 star review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoyed our small group format and received such a personal, attentive service throughout your day in Florence. Stefania is a spectacular guide, and we are incredibly proud to have her on our team! Your review perfectly highlights what makes her so special: her ability to balance deep historical knowledge with a warm, conversational approach. We love that she gave your group the extra time needed to snap beautiful photos, ask questions, and truly absorb the stories behind the masterpieces at the Accademia and the Uffizi. Keeping our groups small is a deliberate choice we make to ensure the tour never feels like a crowded lecture. It allows for real conversation and a much deeper, richer connection to the history of Florence. Combined with our pre arranged reserved tickets to bypass the long general admission queues, our goal is to give you a smooth, stress free day dedicated entirely to enjoying the city's crown jewels. Thank you for choosing Florence and Global Tours and for highly recommending both this itinerary and Stefania to fellow travelers. This was a great tour. Our tour guide Sylvia was so knowledgeable and explained all of the important pieces to us. It definitely helped us understand what we were looking at and made our visit meaningful. We also enjoyed walking around the town as Sylvia explained the different points of interest and history behind the areas. I would highly recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for this wonderful 5 star review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that our tour made your visit to Florence so deep and meaningful. Sylvia is a spectacular guide, and your feedback highlights exactly what we strive for on every single tour. Standing in front of world class masterpieces at the Accademia and the Uffizi is incredible on its own, but having an expert like Sylvia to break down the history, the hidden symbols, and the stories behind the canvas completely changes the experience. It turns a simple walk through a museum into a deep connection with the Renaissance! We are also so glad you enjoyed the outdoor portion of the journey. Florence is essentially an open-air museum, and Sylvia loves bringing the historic streets, squares, and points of interest to life by sharing the fascinating history of the families and artists who shaped the city. By handling all the logistics with our pre arranged reserved tickets to bypass the long general admission queues, we ensure you spend less time waiting on the pavement and more time enjoying this rich, educational experience. Thank you for choosing Florence and Global Tours and for your high recommendation. We will be sure to pass your kind words along to Sylvia, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Italy for another unforgettable day!
