After lunch you discover, San Gimignano: the Medieval Manhanattan, where you can explore the maze of cobbled streets, small squares and many local craft stores.
Piazza del Duomo in San Gimignano was the fulcrum of the religious and political life of the town in the Middle Ages. The square owes its name to the Collegiate Church, which has been there since the 11th century, while the current appearance of the square took shape in the first half of the 13th century, during the golden period of the economy and political importance of San Gimignano . The main public buildings and the "rotation" of the cathedral date back to that period, with a new facade opposite the old Palazzo del Podestà. Today the square is slightly sloping and has a brick pavement.
Piazza della Cisterna is, with the Piazza del Duomo, one of the two most important squares in San Gimignano. The square has a triangular shape with a slight natural slope and is connected to the nearby Piazza del Duomo by an open passage. The pavement is herringbone brick and on the sides there is an extraordinary curtain of noble houses and medieval towers.
Our exciting day continues with a panoramic view of the true Chianti countryside before arriving in Siena, where our professional guide ( if option selected ) will let you discover the most important squares, from Piazza del Campo to the Cathedral passing through the most beautiful ‘Contrade’ that characterize this city. At the end of the guided tour, you will have free time to enjoy a cup of coffee or the Pan Forte (the typical local cake) and have some shopping in typical local shops.
Piazza del Campo (or more simply the Campo) is the main square of the city of Siena. Unique for its particular and very original shell shape, it is renowned throughout the world for its beauty and architectural integrity, as well as for being the place where the Palio di Siena takes place twice a year.
The cathedral of Siena, officially the metropolitan cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, is the main place of Catholic worship in Siena, in Tuscany, the episcopal seat of the metropolitan archdiocese of Siena-Colle di Val d'Elsa-Montalcino; the building is located in the square of the same name, in Terzo di Città. Built in Italian Romanesque-Gothic style, it is one of the most significant churches built in this style in Italy.

Many thanks to Barbara and team for a wonderful day exploring the Tuscany region in Italy. She was so polite, friendly and full of energy. Her knowledge was exceptional and she made the day very enjoyable. This tour is a great way to see the most of the area without having to do any organising yourself.
Excellent day on a luxury coach. Siena, lunch and wine tasting at a winery, San Gimignano, Pisa. Intense but many unforgettable discoveries. Thanks to Andrea the guide and Jean Pierre, an excellent bus driver.
Full day! This is a large group tour and a big bus! We did this in July and the heat did dampen our day. Andrea our tour guide was very efficient and our driver John Pierre was great. Short stops at each place. Lunch at the winery was good. You will do a lot of walking simply from the bus into each town, before you do your own exploring at each stop.
It was a very hot day, but I really enjoyed it! We visited 3 beautiful spots and had a wonderful wine tasting experience. Special thanks to Julia at the restaurant for sharing information about the different wine varieties. It was also a great opportunity to connect with the rest of the tour group during the lunch and wine tasting. A big thank you to Marina for guiding us throughout the entire day, sharing interesting insights and always being available to provide additional information whenever needed. And many thanks to Massimiliano for getting us there and back safely.

Barbara was a wonderful tour guide. Be warned, this is a very long day with half the time spent on the bus. It’s a good way to “check the boxes” of seeing Siena, San Gimingnano and Pisa. But afterwards, me and my sister (both 30 years old) and our mom were absolutely beat. Prepare to get at least 20k steps and spend about an hour at each destination. We wished the tour could have just been to Siena and San Gimingnano. The trip to Pisa was 1hr 40 min there, and an hour 30 min back (nearly 3 hours in the bus to only be there for about an hour- and Pisa left much to be desired apart from getting the tower photo). If we could do it again, we’d pick a tour that focused on one area (like Siena and San Gimingnano). It was just too long of a day.

It’s a nice excursion with lots of things to see, but it takes a little extra time in each place, because an hour alone is not enough. Somewhat bad schedule and the guide's not so accessible in asking her things. Also, it would be good for the tour to be done only in English, as valuable time is wasted from the tour when it is done in two languages (we specifically succeeded in English and Spanish). Finally, the driver made us scare sometimes with his way of driving. I don't know if they drive so recklessly in Italy, but on a bus with people it's at least scary. The most beautiful thing it deserved was the tower of Pisa and the visit to the vineyard.
The overall experience was satisfactory. However, I suggest that our guide, Marina, endeavor to be more energetic and clear in her English delivery, as her accent occasionally presented comprehension difficulties. We noted a more positive experience with previous day trips. Additionally, a cautionary note for elderly participants: this tour involves a significant amount of walking, as bus stops are located at least 300 meters from each destination.
The trip was amazing! Marina was so nice and her smile made me feel so safe since I traveled alone.

It is a good experience; time is given to get to know the places. That one wishes it were longer, but the schedule is tight and there is a lot to see.
