The tour of the machinery was interesting. We were hoping to experience the farm where olives were grown. The lunch was amazing and be prepared by being very hungry!!
A must to do on your tour list if to understand the process of farm to plate. The guide through the olive oil press process is interesting and includes a video of the machinery working followed by the tasting and lunch. We tasted three different varieties of olive oil. So much food and wine to enjoy!
The host was super friendly and we had a great time shopping at the factory’s store. I would recommend going late October to catch the olive production in action.
We had two tastings at two different locations. The second one, at Fracoio Buraschi, was out of this world! We learned so much at the tasting; afterwards, we were served a heavenly meal of typical Tuscan dishes featuring the olive oil made there, and cooked by Alessandra. Every detail was carefully considered - from the way the table was set to each delicious dish prepared - was perfect, and reflected Emanuela’s and Alessandra’s passion for making the best olive oil.
