Turkish Cuisine Cooking Class at Local Home with Family

This experience lived up to and surpassed the description and is a highlight for our travels in Turkiye so far! Sercan and his lovely family were so welcoming, we learnt so much including how to make the delicious food, and enjoyed warm conversation in an intimate party of six that we will not forget. It was with genuine sadness that we parted ways - the invitation into someone’s home to share their world for an evening was a privilege and a delight.

The cooking class with Sercan and his family was absolutely outstanding! He welcomed me into his home, showed me traditional Turkish delights and not only did I learn a lot about the culture, but also had an amazing evening and a lot of fun with him and his family. One of my highlights was the Teeleaf reading (Turkish Tea) and of course all of the amazing food we cooked together! I can only recommend visiting this cooking class if you're in Ankara. This was by far one of the highlights of our trip. Sercan was such an amazing host and had picked a great selection of foods to cook together. We spent much more time at his house than we were expecting! It’s perfect if you’re looking for a fun, cozy experience where you can really enjoy the company of locals and have some delicious, authentic food. I highly highly recommend this experience!!!

My two children and I had a great evening with Sercan, Hatice and their son. We were warmly welcomed, the contact immediately passed. We cooked great dishes and talked a lot, it was really great and very nice!!! I recommend 1000%

I had an amazing time at this private cooking class! My host was so welcoming and made learning fun and easy. We prepared Eksili Pilav—a delicious dish with tender beef, broken chickpeas, saffron, and a tangy sauce. The flavors were incredible! This dish is traditionally made in eastern Turkey, and it was fascinating to learn about its regional significance. The hands-on experience and cultural insights made it truly special. To finish, I enjoyed homemade helva and perfectly brewed Turkish coffee. If you want an authentic taste of Turkey, this class is a must!

I love that they have classes with the locals at their house. The cooking was a great experience seeing how they live but the food wasn’t my speed of food but still a great experience over all.
