There is no SCUBA experience required to participate in this activity! Our guests will have to opportunity to explore an underwater world rich with sea life, and home to over 1,250 species found only in the Hawaiian Islands. With lava arches, schooling fish, majestic reef ecosystems, dolphins, manta rays and more, our guided tour for uncertified divers will excite even the most experienced adventurer. Our dive boat, the Anela Kai, is the largest and most spacious SCUBA boat on Kauai and each diver will have to opportunity to dive in 2 different locations. Out boat's size makes it perfect for Pacific Ocean diving giving you ample space to walk around, an upper-level observation deck and a smooth ride along the ocean coast. We always check dive conditions and will customize our dive plan in order to make this experience as fun, and safe as possible for you and your whole family.

- Participants must complete the PADI Diver Medical Questionnaire (available through us or online), and if required have their physician's sign-off indicating it's safe to participate
- Participants must not travel to more than 1000ft of elevation for 18 hours after this activity (including interisland and commercial flights, helicopter tours, skydiving, and trips to Waimea Canyon)

We originally had booked the offshore morning dive, however the conditions weren’t good the day of, so the trip had to be cancelled and we were rescheduled for the boat tour on a later date (no extra charge). That being said, I’m so glad we got to experience scuba diving from a boat! Our guide Thomas was very helpful, calm, and experienced. Thanks India for being a great pilot! The crew worked very well together, and the dives were gorgeous! It has always been a dream of mine to scuba dive, and it was worth the wait and price. I really want to get into scuba diving now!
This was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! Being able to explore the ocean for the very first time was absolutely breathtaking. The crew at Seasport divers was second to none. We felt very safe, secure, and confident going into the water. Amaley was so patient and encouraging and never left our side. She was an absolute gem. Truly a life-changing experience. The most relaxing, impressive, thrilling activity. Carlo, Sean, and Anthony took care of all the work so we could have all the fun! They knew what to do and what to look for that we walked away seeing dolphins, turtles, eels, fish, and our lives! Haha what an easy experience that bonds you for life. Go scuba!
The open water diver introduction provided by Shawn, was simply, and easy. I was happy to find out that we would be spending diving in a spot that was in ocean water rather than a pool. This meant more time learning "breathing" surrounded by ocean. Once my mind 'comprehend' I actually 'can' breath under water, then the penny dropped. It was all just unforgettable since then. The weather was pitch perfect. They guys on the boat took care of everything, just turn up with swimming clothing and towel. We all went on two long dives on the day that will stick in my memory for a long time. The company as a whole was first class and scuba Shawn made it very easy to learn, the skills and has a remarkable amount of patience with newbies! Treasure him, he is one of the kind in his field. ALOHA for everything. Back in Australia, but my heart is over in Kauai.

All participants are required to complete a health questionnaire before participating. I received the link to mine 11am on the day before the activity. If you answer yes to any of the questions, you will be disqualified from participating unless you first get a medical exam. Most people may not realize that there is a VERY broad range of disqualifying conditions requiring an exam, including.being over the age of 45, or taking almost ANY medication regardless of what it’s for. Neither Viator nor Seasport make this clear up front, but I can understand the financial incentive not to. I recommend that you google “PADI diver medical participant questionnaire” to see if might need a physical before booking the activity. Doing so may save you money.

Diving with Seasport Divers was great! Our dive master, Amalie was patient and very helpful. She guided us from the intro beach test through the two boat dives. Anthony the other dive master was super knowledgeable about sea life. Cole the captain was very great too - drove us out to see humpback whales in action in between dives! Couldn't have asked for a better experience!!

This trip was amazing! I was nervous initially given this was my first time doing this , but the crew that took us out was fabulous. They were calm and very patient with all of is. They also made sure it was a fun environment which eased my uneasiness. I felt very safe and had a blast with this group.

This was not my first scuba experience but it was by far the best! The marine life was breathtaking, the waters are clear and warm. My scuba instructor was Joe, he was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I had an unforgettable experience. He was very patient and made sure I was safe at all times. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I have been certified for many years but wanted to give our kids a taste of scuba before going full throttle and getting them certified. Ages 13 and 15. They did a very quick lesson on land, a half hour in the harbor to learn the basics of breathing, purging, clearing googles, etc and off we went in the boat for 2 dives. Conditions on the day we dove were not great because of the swell but both my kids absolutely loved it despite that! Boat is comfortable and bigger than most which is helpful for first divers. Our dive master John was awesome and made the kids feel comfortable and kept a great eye on them. Highly Rec!
