Truffle Hunt in Tuscany

This was the highlight of my trip to Tuscany! The scenery was gorgeous. Our guide was excellent (very knowledgeable and personable). The adorable dog led us to truffles that we dug up. This is an experience not to be missed for anyone who is a foodie, has a love of dogs, and being in the outdoors in the Italian countryside.

This tour was great for families with older parents and younger children. We began the tour with our guide/host Elio sharing some background about his and his families experiences being truffle hunters. Then he also included information about truffles in the Region. We added on the wine tasting and dinner experience. In our opinion this is a must!!! Our dinner was amazing (my favorite in the region) and the wine pairing put it over the top. Staff was incredible, friendly and accommodated a dairy allergy without any issues.

A great and unique experience with our experienced truffle hunter and his lovely dog Nura. A lot of interesting information and funny anecdotes during and after the tour. The bitch was very successful and then the truffle had to be dug up quickly before she could damage it with her claws. We had the tour with "bites" afterwards, very delicious. Highly recommended.

Our guide was a very knowledgeable truffle hunter. The hiking is not too difficult, but it does involve hiking up and down some short Tuscan hills through oak woods. The tour was unrushed and he spent extra time at the end explaining his passion for traditional and ethical truffle hunting.

This is the BEST tour ever! The bike trip and lunch were so amazing! Highly recommend this tour. Fabrizio, Julietta, and Lorenzo were wonderful hosts. We had a group of 10. Thank you for showing us your beautiful country in such a great way! Will definitely come back and ride with you again!

We had an amazing anniversary trip to Italy and I must say this was our favorite part of the whole trip. This is a one of a kind experience. Tons of fun chasing the dog and finding truffles. Our group found 5 truffles one after the other. The expert dog is adorable and super smart at locating truffles. Our truffle hunter was so friendly and explained the history of our hunt and the procedure with great detail. The food and wine after was excellent. The location is breathtaking. I recommend this adventure for everyone.

We had an amazing experience. Dedicated and highly knowledgeable guide with a good sence of humor. It was just 2 of us and 4 members of another family. After the truffle hunt we had snacks and champagne and it was very nice to end our hunt. Highly recommended. P.S. they also have the best price among others truffle hunting companies

Elia is a truly engaging and passionate guy, his dogs are spectacular! The hunt and explanation was a wonderful and unique experience! Really worth doing! His dogs found us some truffles which the diacceroni (wonderful) then cooked for us in an excellent way, making us a truffle-based dinner from the appetizer to the coffee. Thanks for everything! I highly recommend it

We had an amazing experience with Elia and his dogs, Nora and Titto. It was lovely to get out in nature and explore the grounds but the terrain was not too difficult or challenging which makes this a great tour for all. In the end we found 4 black truffles and everyone in the group had a chance to dig one up, with the help of Nora. Elia had a wealth of knowledge and I feel that we learned so much about truffle hunting and the culture. I would love to do this experience again and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone visiting.

This was an amazing experience in the woods around Agriturismo Biologico Diacceroni. Our guide was knowledgable and enthusiastic, from a long-line of truffle hunters. His dogs were delightful - one young and enthusiastic, the other older, wiser, and slower. We ended up finding four truffles. The bites afterwards were very tasty too, highly recommended. We ate in the beautiful surroundings of the Tuscan countryside. Highly recommended for young children. Thank you!
