Description
Go on an epic adventure by visiting the the legendary, ancient city of Troy. Begin your trip by getting picked up from your hotel accommodation in central Istanbul. You will get down at the town of Eceabat, where you will feast on a delicious meal at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will get to wander around the ancient ruins of the city where the ancient Greek story of The Iliad is set in. Drop by the majestic remains of many of its architectural marvels, such as the Odeon, a stage where poetry recitals and musical performances took place; the ruins of the Temple of Athena; the Bouleuterion, where political affairs were discussed. You will get to witness excavations currently in progress as well as a towering replica of the Trojan Horse. You will get glimpses of Turkey's past and learn more about Greek mythology. You will even go on a ferry ride on the Dardanelles, a strait that forms part of the boundary between Europe and Asia; you will be in between two continents at once!

It was a great trip for the entire day. The ride to there and back was pleasant and the group size was small so we could all hear the tour guide. The tour guide was amazing and we learned about about the city itself and how it grew from a settlement to a major city-state. I definitely recommend this tour to people

The itinerary was well planned, with enough time to explore the site without feeling rushed. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and would recommend this tour operator to anyone planning a visit to Troy.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this full day trip to Troy. While it was a long day (we were gone for about 15 hours), it was a great way to get to see the ruins of the legendary city while still being based in Istanbul. While there were some hiccups at the beginning of the tour and some long waits while picking up the other tour group members, overall, once you get to the site it is worth the wait. The tour guide for the site is extremely informative, helpful, and will make the history of the site come alive.

Had an incredible Troy tour with Hasan! His storytelling really stood out, blending history, mythology, and archaeology in a way that made the site come alive. The long journey was absolutely worth it, and the ferry ride added a fun touch along the way. Everything was seamless from start to finish, from the early hotel pickup to all the transfers and the drop-off at the end of the day. It is a full-day experience, I was picked up at 6am and returned around 9:30pm, with a well-paced itinerary that included lunch in Eceabat and a few hours exploring Troy itself. Highly recommend booking this tour instead of going on your own, Hasan’s expert guidance truly elevates the whole experience.

Absolutely recommend from start to finish a great excursion. Communication in advance, pickup, comfortable bus ride, ferry crossing, lunch, and the actual sightseeing of the city of Troy. The absolute highlight is yet to come, which was the guide Chuck/Charlie/Cagri. Funny, extensive knowledge, and all perfectly presented in Troy. Absolutely the best guide I have had so far. So I can only recommend booking this excursion.

As a mythology and history fan this tour was a great experience. Walking around Troy and listening to the guide was unlike anything else I did in Istanbul.

It is a long tour, optimized to be carried out in a single day. Everything fits, but meal options and information from Istanbul can be improved. The guide in the ruins is a super professional.
