This was a wonderful introduction to the Amazon Jungle from Ecuador! I had a blast as a solo traveler, however, if I were to do it again, I would book with family or friends to make it more memorable. All meals covered by them are extremely good and satisfying!

We had so much fun learning about the way of life in the Amazon. Our guide Brian made the jungle come alive by connecting plants we saw on walks with practical uses by the indigenous family that we visited. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, he was patient, engaging, and fun. The food was good, and the lodge with its surroundings was gorgeous. Be aware there is no air conditioning in the rooms, you are truly experiencing the climate of the rainforest!

The great thing is that it is clean and the guides are awesome. Our package was all inclusive and the food is not good and there are no snacks so you may go 7 hours between lunch and dinner. We bought food off the menu and saw most people doing the same. Even then, it was not great. The amount of physical exertion in the activities is underrated. Make sure you are fit! We did not get to go on the night walk because our initial schedule when booking said after dinner but at some point the guide decided before dinner and we had no clue. You do not get a schedule when you arrive. It is very vague, at least our guide was. We saw no animals except birds and insects, except in the rehab zoo. Well we did see monkeys on one excursion but only by our guide bringing food to feed them so they are trained. The caymen crocodiles are in a small lagoon owned by a family, again fed so they stay. We paid for the hot tub upgrade but it is not worth it. They have to fill it up every time you want to use it because there is no heater or jets. It is not clean. We did not use.

Regarding the jacuzzi, it is very important to us that our guests enjoy clean and hot water. For this reason, we offer a filling service upon request, without a fixed schedule, so guests can use it at their preferred time. As mentioned during your stay, this service can be requested at any moment. Additionally, since the jacuzzi is located outdoors and surrounded by nature, it is normal that leaves or flowers may occasionally fall into the water. My family and I spent three days and two nights at this resort over New Year’s Eve. The resort was lovely. We likened it to a summer camp with cabins and activities. We were picked up from our hotel in a mini bus with four other travelers. The website should mention that this is a nearly 6 hour journey from Quito. That was the biggest downside. When we arrived at the resort, we were assigned a guide who acted like an ambassador/cruise director (Carlos) to our little group on 8 (my family of 4 and the 4 guys from the minibus trip from Quito). He helped us go to all of our activities and he took pictures of all of us on all of our excursions. His English was excellent, and he also spoke French and German. All of the activities were very enjoyable. We upgraded our two rooms to a jungle view room and a Jacuzzi room. The jungle view room was lovely Andi highly recommend the very affordable upgrade. My kids stayed in the Jacuzzi room, which was a slight improvement from the standard, but the Jacuzzi did not get much use. The swimming pool at the resort was small but clean. The tour of the nature reserve and the canoeing down the river was fun. Unfortunately, we did not go to monkey Beach but none of us were sure why that did not happen. The hotel had a NYE dinner and party that was very lively and certainly different cultural experience compared to the US or Australia.

I had a pleasant experience and I am glad I did the trip. The journey from Quito to the jungle lodge is 4,5 hours. The lodge accommodation is good and the staff are present but not very engaging. Our guide for the activities was thorough and good.

This trip was truly epic! We were slightly skeptical going into this due to the lack of reviews on here, but so glad we booked this. I can confirm that the pictures of the eco lodge are very accurate - the place is stunning - The actual place to research is Suchipakari Amazon Eco Lodge. There's a swimming pool & bar. But after a day of tubing or waterfall hikes, we mainly wanted to chill in the evening. Our guide, Brayan "jungle man" was so fun & knowledgable. We were also lucky to spot a couple of toucans on the 1st day, driving up to the lodge. It is a very action packed couple of days. I would advise to bring some cash - Although you can pay for extras at the lodge on card, you'll need a few dollars for tips or buying small items (boat man, amazon tribe etc.) Not sure if we got lucky, but our group size was 3 people. We stayed for an extra day and so glad we did - If you get the chance to do an extra day, theres a tour where you go to a nature reserve and waterfall. The reserve has a small island in a lake with 5 types of monkeys and we saw a sloth!!

The first two days were full of activities, but on the last day there was a so-called chocolate tour, which was nothing great. They should have included an adventure activity instead.
